what happened to aurelio? when will rafa get it he's bought a turd doseena is the worst defender in the premiership. sell him at xmas please.
thought we struggled in the second half, i could have sworn gerrard ended up on the left. bizarre.
yet on we go, still to hit form but enter december second in the league and qualified for the knock out stages. as much to do with fortune as skill and tactical nouse but we can't play any worse than we have so far this season.

He's not been that great but he has had no real competition, same goes for Arbeloa. It's saying something when our two young full backs are actually better than the two brought in in the summer.Originally posted by Woobus View PostDidnt sound serious more of a precaution, yup he has been playing well this year would be a big loss.
I would take Darby and Insua over Degen and Dossena any day of the week. I have to hold my hands up and say Looprevil got it spot on about Dossena. That was his worst half in a Liverpool shirt. As rage says, sell now.
Who we would bring in to give real competition to Aurelio is the next problem......
Also tonight Mascherano was woeful........ Again. Much was said about Lucas on the weekend but Javier was just as bad, if not worse. Are best displays this season have been with Gerrard and Xabi in the middle.Forwards.......

I think thats a bit OTT, but in a way, I havn't felt the same way since we had Traore at left back as I did tonight. His acceleration and turning circle are similar to that of an oil tanker and that is nothing to do with settling into a new league!Originally posted by rage View Postdoseena is the worst defender in the premiership. sell him at xmas please.
His defending against quick attackers (99% these days) worries me.# Fernando Torres, Liverpool's number 9 #

His defending one v one is very worrying. People go past him far too easily. There was one incident tonight when I think he was trying to show Ben Arfa on to his weaker side - which is the right thing to do - but he didn't just 'show him'...he virtually escorted him through the door. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

but seriously - that was pretty much our style tonight. if teams get worn down by our astounding workrate they might fold and let us trounce them. greatest example of this under rafa was besiktas 8-0 last season.
you need some stomach to play against us for 90 minutes. it's where arsenal lost to us last year in the CL.
but in all honesty, dirk kuyt is what we're all about - we may lose the ball a lot but we'll chase it. that's great - im delighted we're top of the league and through to the CL last 16 , but the football thrills are few and far between.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

It isn't funny I know, and it really makes me sad to see a player not producing it but what can I say about Dossena. Wrong player at the wrong club in the wrong league. Unfortunately.
I must say Carra was immense and without him this game was a certain defeat IMO.
And wtf has happened between Rafa and Babel? He is being given less and less game time. I was hoping he would come on rather than Benni. Something just not right there."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I think it's best Babel moves on - he's playing under the wrong manager and he's hindering his career/development by staying here. Rafa is never going to give him a chance. He has IMO offered a hell of a lot more in his first season than Riera has so far. Babel got goals and assists last year with limited game time. Yet Riera plays week in/out and has 1 goal and 0 assists to his name. If you think about it, Riera has had a bit of a **** return in term of end product. Babel has more end product even though he is inconsistent.Originally posted by looprevil View Post

Babel never seemed like a Rafa type player from day 1. Always felt he would be better suited under the guidance of Wenger.
Rafa does not like unpredictable players it seems. He has 11 soldiers on the pitch all witha role to play and easy to orchestrate from the touchline. Too many individuals and he is not in control.
There were a lot of players who looked out of sorts tonight - thank **** we have no more games in November!!"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I'm glad it wasn't just me. I kept looking at the clock and at one point it was 65mins gone. I couldn't believe we had another 25 to go. I've NEVER done that with a Liverpool game before. I just wanted it to end.Originally posted by Deano View PostThat second half was woeful, boring and feckin awful to watch.# Fernando Torres, Liverpool's number 9 #
