Nihil El Zhar cleared to play for s

    KOP KID CLEARED
    By David Maddock

LIVERPOOL have finally been given clearance to play Nihil El Zhar, the Morrocan forward they signed in the summer.

But the Anfield club could still face a FIFA inquiry into the transfer, which his former club St Etienne claim is illegal.

The 20-year-old, who can play either in attack or midfield, made his debut for the Reds last night in a reserve game at Wrexham.

He joined on a free transfer but St Etienne claimed they should get compensation.

FIFA agreed to block the move but now, despite announcing that investigations into the deal are still ongoing, the player will be allowed to turn out for his new club.

thought it was his second reserve appearance.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Does this mean he can play for the first team, or still only the reserves?

Can't see him getting a chance for the first team for a while, unless Rafa really does rate him.

Well if he ends up scoring a vital goal for us in a European Cup Final, like Smicer did I, for one, will be delighted.

Couldn't have seen those two posts coming after someone said he's great in training

He would appear to be a better prospect than Calliste was.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Where did Calliste go? Wasn't it Scunthorpe? I've not seen his name appear as a goalscorer anywhere...does anyone know how he's getting on?

I miss Igor but I don't miss Vlad at all, despite my perennial irritation with him suddenly blossoming into unrequited love after that goal.
