On the other hand a lot of people would say it's fine to say something similar about someone from Germany because it's done to mock and is without any real racist intent - that I can agree with in a way.

So it's not necessarily that I thought the chant was racist, but I didn't sing it either because somehow it just didn't feel right to me singing 'you dirty German *******'. Wonder if it would still have been sung had Didi been with us? We're never short of people having a go at Mancs taking the piss out of scousers whilst they laud Rooney.
I was joking Red Polo. You wouldn't catch me singing it unless the lyrics were changed to 'you dirty German c*nt'.

There hasnt been any mention of it at all in any of our pre match breifings. We did get told to be aware of it because the Spurs fans are meant to have a terrible problem with it, but not had anything to say to listen out for it in any part of the Liverpool supporters areas.
The people up there for league games will be different in the main than those for European games. In the league it's mainly PTS members - in Europe the tickets have normally already gone before the usual crowd get a chance to buy there.

            Wrong!

This season has seen the introduction of the Automatic Cup Scheme for all Season Ticket Holders. The fellas that do the singing who Chris was on about earlier all have season tickets. They are given their own seat for all cup games now and just await the ticket arriving. in the main now people are sitting in their own seats for cup games as well as league.

sorry Mumsa, but while there may be some season ticket holders in both blocks 202 and 208 for league games, in the main it's still PTS holders and it's those who do the singing up in 202. The idea of everyone who wanted to sing getting tickets together in 202 originated 3-4 years back on the forums on lfc.tv/RAWK.

Those doing the racist singing were an entirely different bunch of young local lads who were standing in the aisle at the top of the stairs but didn't all have tickets up there for the Gala game.
