Isn't that a small piece of paper?.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Nissan Micra rocksOriginally posted by rudedog View PostHe has a Delorean complete with flux capacitor. I believe he tried it first with his Nissan Micra but was unable to attain the necessary 88mph.
It doesn`t, but will get you from A to B. As long as A and B are places, not dates.Blank

I don't get how you can post that knowing full well how our team will be motivated to ensure we do not suffer another Fulham or Stoke result, and given that a win would see us open a slight gap on Chelsea.Originally posted by Sarb24 View PostWe will drop points tonight. You can quote me on that
Really have set yourself up for a big fall there IMO buddy.
I cannot see anything other than a home win tonight. We have not lost to them at home in over 40 years, and I sincerely believe that record will continue."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I noticed a quote from Arbeloa in the Echo, commenting on his form last year, anybody think that the latter is a clue for tonights team?....
“You are always happy when you can play and help the team, but you cannot do your very best when you are changing positions frequently.
“But if for example on Monday I am asked to play left-back, then it would not be a problem to me.”

If that is the case it will signal the end for Dossena, for sure.Originally posted by Pippo View PostI noticed a quote from Arbeloa in the Echo, commenting on his form last year, anybody think that the latter is a clue for tonights team?...."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." I get the impression that for the next few months the words I will read most on here will be "this is the most important game of the season so far". If we want to win the title we will have to get used to the pressure that every game means something. I really think that this is a game that we should be confident about.
Having watched West Ham against Sunderland I think Rafa should have spotted enough weaknesses for us to exploit. If anything they are just about the ideal opposition for us. A bigger name club than the ability in the team so there shouldn't be complacent but should be able to dominate.
Interesting post about Arbeloa. I'd much rather he stay at right back. A settled defense as far as we can manage would be nice and I always think is the best way to go. I can only think we want to put Hyypia in CB to combat Carlton Cole and/or Rafa has given up on Dossena for at least the near future if we move Carra to right back. I really can't imagine we will be giving Darby a game."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I think Dossena needs these games to prove himself and up his confidence, I have my doubts about him at the moment, but it's only doubts as it is, he has a chance tonight to impress us.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I have to say that I feel the same. I quite like some of what Dossena has done going forward and for parts of some games he has shown some ability in defense but he looks to lack confidence and willingness to use his body. This seem to lead him to get in the wrong positions when left one on one with people.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostI think Dossena needs these games to prove himself and up his confidence, I have my doubts about him at the moment, but it's only doubts as it is, he has a chance tonight to impress us."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

If Dossena had been a Chelsea or Man Utd player and performed as he has done for us, we'd be pissing ourselves and acknowledging how ****e he's been. Now obviously i'm not saying we should be laughing or even calling him ****e, but i also dont see the necessity to convince ourselves that there's been glimpses of quality from him, because there certainly havent. Not defensively anyway.
I struggle to remember in which parts of which games he's shown defensive ability. Personally, i've seen practically none.
