    Yes, that's true.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

the general rule of thumb on here, is finish above chelsea and we will win the league.

or is this some sort of minority report thing and you are complaining about what is going to happen.....how about lets get behind the team, lets hope it doesnt and if it does you can have your moan then ?
how about you watch the football with you're eyes and take them red tints off. we've been playing badly, ffs we drew against fulham and have created very little for most of our games this season. we are where we are in the league but lets not get deluded that we're playing good football.

we need to improve.and i see west ham as a game that we need to grab by the scruff of the neck and win. there can be no excuses.

every year we look back and look at games like stoke and fulham and think what could have been if we'd put away mid table ****e.

whilst i value wins against utd and chelsea our seasons successes are not just built upon beating the big teams, i leave that as an indicator of success of the likes of fat sam's bolton.

        Monday, 01 December 2008
Liverpool v West Ham, 20:00 We should beat them without Torres

        Saturday, 06 December 2008
Blackburn v Liverpool, 15:00 We should beat them without Torres

        Tuesday, 09 December 2008
        PSV Eindhoven v Liverpool, D, 19:45 Don't care tbh

        Saturday, 13 December 2008
Liverpool v Hull, 15:00 We should beat them without Torres

        Sunday, 21 December 2008
Arsenal v Liverpool, 16:00 We'll just go for muscle against them

        Friday, 26 December 2008
Liverpool v Bolton, 15:00 We should beat them without Torres

        Sunday, 28 December 2008
Newcastle v Liverpool, 12:00 We should beat them without Torres

        Saturday, 10 January 2009
Stoke v Liverpool, 17:30 Torres will be back.

In between is a FA cup game though. In december we have 6 games, 3 of them at home and the last away game is the 28th. We could rest him for almost the entire month IMO.

Most of these teams would probably play deep against us anyway and limit the space for Torres.

Oh it could definitely be worse, don't get me wrong but it means there's a lot of pressure on Robbie Keane as if there wasn't enough already.

More importantly, with this latest injury I've had to re-jig my fantasy football side

You're not wrong with those games you've listed, but we 'should' also have beaten Fulham WITH Torres. And Stoke too.

Shoulds dont always turn into wins unfortunately.

True, but if we don't manage ok without him, we have no one else to blame but Robbie Keane

Thanks but it's sorted. I've drafted in Anelka.

A sure-fire way to end his goal glut if ever there was one.

Now we just need the other ten to be injured.
                        Brilliant

Its a must win like our other games. West Ham will be on a high after beating those Mackems.

Replace "We" with either United or Chelsea, none of the top3 teams have been playing well the last couple of weeks. If United and Chelsea have another bad week along with us then I dont see how it will mean thats it for the league.

In fairness Rage that's a good sign. PLaying poor and winning is what winning the title is all about. I'd be more worried if we were playing really well but still dropping points.

With the way United and Chelsea have been going as well I think its mostly down to the rest of the league being a lot better this year. Chelsea started of well but lately they have been like us and not destroying teams and United havent been like previous years.
