No they're not, they're reporting he'll be out for the rest of the year. Anyway, in a strange way your information was kind of right it's just that someone has difficulties working out the difference between 'year' and 'season' and frankly the mail making sensationalist comments like that don't help.

Anyway LFC are on the case - every aspect of Torres' life style will be examined in order to discern the cause of his hamstring problems. Apparently after 10 years the source of Ryan Giggs' hamstring issues were sourced to his posture, whilst driving his car. FFS how do they work that out?

Imagine if you hamstring problems were sourced to your wanking posture?

How ****ing embarassing would that be?

the mail as had a really anti liverpool agenda lately which gives me hope that all this is bull****, cant understand why the guy i know just didnt say he will be out for four or five weeks rather than the three weeks we knew about instead of saying the rest of the season thats the worry,he doesn't bull**** but like anybody he makes mistakes maybe he did mean the end of the year, hope so.

Since the year is only about four weeks long, now, I can handle him being out until the new year.

I'd like to see him rested until january 10th. which is our first league game of 2009.

                        Posted this elsewhere:
The following are the games he might miss or be just marginally involved in.

                        Saturday, 06 December 2008
                        Blackburn v Liverpool, 15:00

                        Tuesday, 09 December 2008

                        Saturday, 13 December 2008
                        Liverpool v Hull, 15:00

                        Sunday, 21 December 2008
                        Arsenal v Liverpool, 16:00

                        Friday, 26 December 2008
                        Liverpool v Bolton, 15:00

                        Sunday, 28 December 2008
                        Newcastle v Liverpool, 12:00

                        Saturday, 10 January 2009
                        Stoke v Liverpool, 17:30

In between is a FA cup game though. In december we have 6 games, 3 of them at home and the last away game is the 28th. We could rest him for almost the entire month IMO.
