I agree with a lot of what you say, but we always seem to play better in the 2nd half of the season so im not too concerned yet

And if Chelsea had beaten Spurs and Newcastle at home they'd be 3 points in front at the moment.Originally posted by vonk View Postfredo - i admire your positive outlook but I'm devastated by that result. We are one point ahead of Chelsea. If we knew how to break down Fulham and West Ham at Anfield we'd be five points ahead. Five.
If, could, would, should, can't, might blah blah bollocks.
We're top, that's what counts.

I have to say I do not admire your negativity, its depressing and a little bit of a worry ... I just had a quick look at about 2 pages of your posts to get a idea of the kind of stuff you post, perhaps I am jumping the gun and you are understandably upset about last nights result but no its almost exclusively .. upto 90% negative posts about players, the manager, the tactics, the team, the club ...Originally posted by vonk View Postfredo - i admire your positive outlook but I'm devastated by that result. West Ham, Marseilles, Fulham, Portsmouth, Stoke, Atletico (all at home) - we scored three goals and really struggled in all these games. No cutting edge and we were lucky in the games we won. Two late penalties from Gerrard.
Wigan, Boro - Last gasp winners having been losing both, at home.
This is very worrying. We've become an away team, we can only attack effectively when the opposition comes at us, like Chelsea or the scum, or anywhere away from home. Coming to Anfield is too predictable. Rafa and the players must know what is going to happen but we are too conservative. We are poor from set-pieces and in the air so why is this our style of play. Our only decent winger, Albert Riera is now coming inside and playing sideways ball to the centre-mids!!! He's got Bennyoun disease!
We've been found out. I'll be floored if we win the league now. Unless Rafa changes his way of playing at home.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

You are right. I get very down when we don't win and I get dragged onto these forums to try to talk about it. I don't agree totally with Rafa's tactics but I could do no better, but I guess I should just chill out and see what happens.Originally posted by Nicey View PostI have to say I do not admire your negativity, its depressing and a little bit of a worry ... Frustrating as ****.
I see a lot of people in this thread that dont post very often...wonder why.
Some of you need to get a grip, we are top, and still not finishing chances, having no luck etc etc. We did this last season too if you can remember. Couldnt score a goal to save ourselves....then suddenly it all clicked, and we started banging in goals left right and centre. I feel we are just deflated at the moment. The crowd get on the players backs from the off it seems.....cant be good for moral. I think the players actually look forward to away games at the moment. The away fans do us proud, and give the team support. The home fans do **** all but whinge. Its never been so quiet.
Having the focal point of your attack out for most of the season does not help things. People having a go at N'gog are just being ****ing stupid. He cost sweet **** all, was highly rated in France and hasn't even had a decent chance to prove himself yet FFS. Of course he's not Torres class....NOBODY IS!
Keane is looking shattered, he has no confidence at the moment. Still, he's getting **** all service...he barely got a touch last night. He just needs a jammy goal, anything, of his left arse cheek FFS. He's under severe pressure to perform with Nando out. With the way we are playing he's having to feed on scraps. I feel very sorry for him.
Yossi...sell him. He's not good enough, we need a quicker thinker. He's skillful, but he hesitates to often...and it kills the attack dead everytime."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

I agree with most you say, and I really hope keane gets scoring again soon, just see what it did to crouch when he finally got it going!Originally posted by Harveybirdman View PostFrustrating as ****.

I have to disagree with Yossi, i actually though he played well last night. He did a lot of work defensively and came back for some important tackles, he also participated well going forward IMO. But it shows that he is not playing much, his touches are lacking a bit now, but with some games in his feet I still think he could contribute with both goals and assists as last season.
It was a frustrating night, and we had all the possesion we needed, but coulden't create enough. At one point in the first half I saw an info saying we had 85% of the possesion
which is more or less unheard of. The attack still isen't clicking like parts of alst season, but when it does we will be a challenge for all clubs!

He's a handy little player. But how often do moves totally breakdown when he gets it. He is too easily barged off the ball, and he takes far to long to make a decision sometimes. He's a good squad player, but nothing more. If we were offered £8m i would snap their hand off.Originally posted by Darkon View PostI agree with most you say, and I really hope keane gets scoring again soon, just see what it did to crouch when he finally got it going!

There was only one team playing for a win and frustratingly we just couldn't get the goal, couple of great saves and some wasted openings especially from Gerrard but overall we were poor in front of goal and if any one was at fault it was Keane for me. He really does look off the pace for some reason, not just in this game but in every game. I'm hoping he'll come good but I'm beginning to think he's overrated. I work with a spurs fan who said at the outset that Keane wont do well as he's too slow and isn't a £20 million talent, maybe he eventually work in partnership with Torres but that remains to be seen.

Kuyt worked very hard again, you could see when some of the others had given up (Gerrard, I was very disappointed with his attitude towards the end yesterday) he still kept trying.Originally posted by pablo1981 View PostEverything else has already been said but a quick word for Dirk Kuyt, who I thought was brilliant again. He deserved a goal last night. Dirk Kuyt
I was actually thinking after the game that one of the reason we fail to score at home is that Kuyt has lost his scoring touch again. We`re could really need one of his late goals.Blank

booing when we draw and go top is out of order in fact pathetic.
maybe we are the best fans in the world when we are loosing and back up against the wall but when we go top of the league
me i prefer to be playing bad and top of the league than playing well and mid table. call me stupid.
only gripe is stevie should be the support forward.
but maybe Masher dip in form has forced Stevie back in the middle. Its times like these we learn to live again FF

I am not saying I would not think of letting him go if the right offer came in, but it is hard to find a good squad player that won't complain and gives as much as yossi does when playing. We have to think about if we can get anyone better to fill his role in the team. He is our version of Park at utd and such. Can make the occasional difference and can cover 3 positions or so.Originally posted by Harveybirdman View PostHe's a handy little player. But how often do moves totally breakdown when he gets it. What you say where also said about little louis and he stilled gave a lot back, even if frustrating at times. Yossi is a bit more of a hard worker and a bit less creative.TBH I think it will be hard to offload him without upsetting the broadness of the squad.
