    Your first game

I was talking to a mate before about the first games we went to. What was the first games you went to?

Mine was Liverpool v Crewe in September 1990, we won 5-1. I remember walking out onto the Kemlin Road stand and being astounded by the inside of Anfield

Mine was in 97. Had to follow the Reds on TV before that due to cost/transport and other stuff. Won VIP tickets from the paper, sat on the FA's table and saw us beat Coventry 2-0 under the dual manager system!

The treble season was great though, thanks to the student loan company, I didn't miss a game, prem, cups and Europe!

Not that long ago actually, Blackburn at home, the season after they won the league, so it would've been something like 12 or 13 years ago. I think we won 3-0. Collymore and Redknapp scored.

        1977 - v WBA. 1-1. Goal by David Fairclough.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

              SK Brann 1996 I think?

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

First game was a friendly against an Irish League XI in Lansdowne Road in August 1987. We won 5-0. Two goals from Paul Walsh, one each from Beardsley, Whelan & Aldridge.

First league game was at Old Trafford in 2003. Unfortunately we lost 4-0.

First game at Anfield was Middlesbrough at home May 2005. The game was sandwiched between the two Champs League semis with Chelsea. I was sat in the Kop and got to watch Stevie G's wonder strike from the moment it left his foot.

My old man took me to watch Chesterfield from when I was too young to remember...so I don't know my first game. As far as my memory tells me, I've always watched football...it was always there, so I can't remember my very first one. I'll have to ask the old man if he can recall.

Very first LFC game was at Hillsborough in January 1989. We'd won 5-1 there the previous season, a game we were supposed to attend but couldn't. I cried for weeks. I hoped for another thrashing but we had to come from 2-0 down to draw thanks to two late goals in a minute from Nicol and Aldridge. We had lunch before the game in a hotel in Middlewood, and Bob Paisley was there with some other old chaps, who I assume were directors etc. I couldn't believe my tiny eyes.

We had tickets to go back for the fateful Cup semi in April (not in the Leppings Land, in the North Stand), but my old man's company sponsored the match ball in a Chesterfield v Port Vale 'clash' on the same day, and we had to go there instead FFS. Darren Beckford scored for Port Vale, I recall, while I listened to the tragic events from Hillsborough unfold on the radio.

Sickeningly I can't remember anything about my first game at Anfield, although I know it was later in the same season. I remember being incredibly awe-struck upon seeing the stadium emerge, and going into the ****ty little club shop to buy a photograph of John Barnes. 50p it was. Can't remember who we played or what the score was.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Liverpool V Blackpool. First game back in the first division-1963 I think. Went with a gang of lads on a coach from Colomendy where we went with the school. We lost 2-1 and I think Alan Ball played for Blackpool.Seems I'm winning in the Old Fart stakes with this one but there must be someone who will beat this.

I think it was 1894: West Brom 5-0 Liverpool at Stoney Lane.
