    Blackburn 15.10.05.
Was sat in the annie road end just behind the goal, and remember being slightly disapointed with the atmosphere in the 1st half. In the 2nd half the Bburn supporters started taunting Djibs about breaking his leg thing, and our crowd really kicked off and it got quite lively after that. Djibsy perfectly answered it by scoring the only goal of the match at annie road end.

Also remember how exited I was, on matchday, just sitting in the bus, and gettin ever closer to the "temple".
    Gave me ****in goosebumps

      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Oh in the foggy mists of time my dad took me to Elland road to see Leeds UTD v Liverpool FC in 1973, now we lived in yorkshire at the time and I was only 10.

My dad decided it was time for me to have a taste of a big First Division game, so we get to the game and believe me it was a close call and its not the match
I'm talking about because we arrived quite close to kick off and to cut a story short all the turnstiles for Leeds were closed so my dad asks a policeman/steward
how can we get in, well I'd like to shake the mans hand because we were taken to the turnstiles in the away section.

I had a small milk crate to stand on to see and believe me it was pretty packed to say the least, anyway all these big fellas parted like the red sea and we somehow
made it to the front. Now you're first game, it's a bit like losing your virginity, you always remember it. I think liverpool lost that day, but the atmosphere was amazing,
although I couldn't understand what the hell anybody was saying. Anyway at the end off the game my dad says 'So are you going to stick with these then' the answer
was yes and the rollercoaster ride that is Liverpool FC started.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tannhäuser Gate.
Liverpool Football Club come back from 3 nil down in Istanbul and win.

Mine was a champions league match a few years back against Monaco. 2-0 I think with Cisse and Baros Scoring. I saw them last year in March when we spanked Arsenal and I'll be there for the last game of the season next year against spurs!

The last home game of the 74-75 season. Twas v QPR, we won 3-1 and a youngster called Jimmy Case made his debut. Saw virtually nothing of the game only being about 8 at the time but watched the highlights the following afternoon. Gerald Sindstadt: Toshaaaaaaaaaaack!

1986 FA cup 6th round replay vs Watford @ Vicarage Road, we won 2-1. Johnny Barnes put them ahead with a freekick, Molby peno equalised late on and then Rushy won it in extra time.

10 years old, with my 10 year old cousin & his ol' fella. It was awesome, watching Dalglish & Rush, we screamed our little heads off the whole 120 mins & fell asleep for the car journey home.

Barnes was prettty good that day too from what I can remember....

That's some first game. A last minute penalty to keep our hopes alive. I was listening to the radio for that one - knew we'd win once we got it to extra time. Molby was fantastic that year.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

I remember asking my uncle if Molby was playing, he lifted me up to get a better vantage point and there he was his majestic walking self in the centre circle as usual!!!! He was class.

I once saw Molby making a comeback from injury in the reserve team. He was like a man amongst boys - 3 or 4 of the little kids trying to get the ball off him as he barely acknowledged their presence while turning to pass the ball. I almost expected him to ruffle their hair afterwards. I am privileged enough to have seen Kenny, Barnesy and Rushy in their prime - Molby is right up there in terms of class, though maybe a little lacking as an athlete! He kept our double hopes alive several times that year, the most obvious examples being that penalty at Watford and the late winner at Tottenham in the league which kept us within shouting distance of Everton.

7 Dec 2000 at Anfield - I was in tears when I heard YNWA! We beat Olympiakos 2-0 with goals from Heskey & Barmby...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

My first was Liverpool v Newcastle. 20th April 1985. We didn't pre order tickets or anything. Just turned up and had the choice of where to sit/stand.

We won 3-1. Memories of the day was when the crowd first started singing pre-match. It was a huge roar that echoed around the ground. The huge novelty Crown paints tin in the centre circle is also somethings I find hard to forget. The standing kop swaying back and forth when we scored was also awesome.

                                Teams:
Grobbelaar, Phil Neal, James Beglin, Mark Lawrenson, Steve Nicol, Alan Hansen, Kenny Dalglish, Ronnie Whelan, Ian Rush, Kevin Macdonald, John Wark.

Martin Thomas, Malcolm Brown, Ken Wharton, Gary Megson, John Anderson, Glenn Roeder, Neil McDonald, Tony Cunningham, George Reilly, Peter Beardsley, Pat Heard.

                                Linesman: Mr J.F Everton???
