Thanjk you.

Actually think Mascher needs a rest. He has indeed been poor, but what with the world cup in 2006, the copa america in 2007 and the olympics in 2008, he's basically been playing for 3 years straight, without a break.
He had about a 5 month rest at West Ham.

I really don't care about the result, i hope the fringe players get another chance. Players like Lucas, Cavalieri, Insua, Plesis, Darby and Ngog. But i suspect we wont make that many changes

I think we need a good mixture of fringe players with leaders around the park. Mascher in midfield with Lucas, Darby with Carra etc. Hopefully Spearing and Kelly are on the bench so we can see them in action at some point.

Yeah probably, but i would rather rest both Mascher and Carra. It doesnt matter who we draw next, you have to beat the best to be the best. We could get easy teams now and lose to a big team in the semi's anyway
Don't want to see Lucas and Plessis again in midfield. Nothing happens going forward, I'd like to see Lucas along with one of Gerrard, Alonso or Mascher, preferably the first two.
Otherwise I hope you are right. Might even be tempted to give Babel a run upfront with Riera on the wing and Ngog on the bench.
I can see what you mean but I think that they would get a lot out of the game and I tend to think that they will be more productive against European teams. I'd like to see them used as a platform for an otherwise very attacking selection - maybe Benayoun and Babel wide with Gerrard off Keane and both fullbacks told to push on.
I suspect your preference is more likely however. Would be nice if Darby got a game.

If Gerrard plays in front of them it might work out fine, if we care about the result that is. I think that if we play 4-4-2 with Plessis and Lucas we are just giving the critics more ammo against Lucas.

If Spearing were to start I'd like to see him with someone like Xabi to help him out.
I'll be surprised if lucas doesn't start though but hopefully not with the inexperienced plesis. Lucas isn't experienced enough himself to carry the battle with Plesis, better off with stevie or Xabi IMO.
