was on sky sports news too. had high hopes for babel but hes not getting his chance and will probably move on
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
i would guess that rafa is either going to sell him or has first team plans for him, id quess its the latter as he has muchos potential and would be a shame to sell him without giving him a proper chance

Looks as much a nudge to Rafa to give him more playing time as anything else.
Strange timing though after he'd just had a start. Can't complain too much if you're ****e when you get your chance though.

Why do we always get this problem with players who don't play often enough, at other TOP clubs they sit happily on the bench....Don't they ? Or is that a Rose tinted view.
Usually it's the top clubs wanting to farm players out on loan, and not the other way round with the player asking for it himself...disappointed.
He is going to be some player, I truly believe this. We really need to give him more starts and show some real faith in him - starting tonight hopefully up front.

I feel that way too, but i wonder why Rafa has'nt done this, we sit top of the table, would we be here had he given Babel a run in the side to prove himself...i don't know, just wish he'd wait for his chance...as the season evolves there will be injuries, he'll get his time to prove he's good enough to help us win a title...no doubt.
Player disruption is the last thing we need, it has to be total loyalty to the cause...in whatever position and doing exactly what's asked of ANY player, otherwise we have no chance, then, if we fail...Rafa has had it his way..done it his way..with the tools available to the best of his ability.
I think other clubs do more to give these guys some game time in the first team. 10 mins here or there, Carling Cup run-outs, generally show more faith in them, not like one appearance, didn't do well then don't play them for another 2 or 3 games.

I agree with this, and would add that the reason Babel haven't got more chances is proberly because of his mentality. Rafa seems very keen on that aspect of the game, and if Babel haven't appied himself well in training or shown a bad attitude for being on the bench, then that is where he will stay.
Babel have potential to become a really good player but he needs to show more mental strenght.
I think it was Molby(???) who onced said that a footballer is 10 % talent and 90 % will.

Squad wise i think it's easier for them to do this, but i know what your saying, it's just that everyone needs to pull in one direction for us to get even near a title imo.
Do what's asked when asked...not bail out half way....bad attitude that if true that HE asked to go mid season, it's one ****in season, and at his young age he has the CHANCE of being part of a title winning side, not just ANY title winning side either..US....****in LFC.
I want to hear him say **** it i'm young...for this season i'll do whatever the boss asks..and when he asks i'll give my all.... not can i go and play in a **** league with me old mates so i can 'Develope'..ffs.
Agreed RR. But maybe he feels he isn't developing or progressing or being given opportunities. Not the right attitude to want to go
I think we need to give him a run of four or five consecutive games as he's potentially a top class player if given the chance.
He's sort of getting game time, more than some, but has he shown enough to start, to maintain this wafer this gap we have at the top, ( not that we'll stay there till may) i don't have to make that decision Rafa does, but he's getting a chance to shine here and there, if he's best used as an 'impact player' is it right to change for the sake of change, or for one players needs.
It could work, Rafa starts him every game he's a revelation, but it's still sad to see a player at this stage of the season and the position we're in to want out, it's crazy.
