I think we need to give him a run of four or five consecutive games as he's potentially a top class player if given the chance.
Not off the back of those comments we don't. What sort of message would that send out? Get your agent to moan in the press and you'll get the regular starts you've been craving even though your performances don't merit it.

We need to have some serious words with Babel about his agent and find out if he knew he was going to speak out like this in the press. If he did I'd fine him and he wouldn't get a sniff for a week or two.

Based on agent talk you wouldn't play a player

It would need to be based on Babel confirming what's been said on his behalf, how do they know Ajax would want him for sure, what's been agreed behind the scenes if anything between Ajax and Babel/Bables Agent, this needs to be found out.

But IF true, he needs a rocket up his arse.

This smacks of wanting to run off home for the easy option, a ****e league, probably a guaranteed starter etc. I do wonder if he has the heart or desire to become one of the best.

I like him but he has to show more, he started in "his position" upfront against Crewe and was embarassingly bad, was poor the other day, theres times he's come on as sub and just stood about doing **** all apart from mis controlling a few passes and equally theres times where he's played well and changed the game. I think theres times when he should of played more but it's easy to hide behind "It's all nasty Rafa's fault", he has to take some responsibility for himself.

The only person to blame for Babel not playing more is Babel himself.
It's piss easy to hide behind blaming everyone else for not playing enough, top players work their nuts off every single game, I've yet to see him try a leg this season, has the makings of a big time, spoilt brat who has actually done **** all.

If he was working harder and performing better than Reira, Benny, Kuyt etc.. then he would be getting picked, simple as.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Well he has played apart in 16 matches this year, so he has been getting a right few games considering we have played about 23 matches and he was away to the Olympics for some of those.
So out of the 23 matches he was available for about 20 and he played in 16, so I wouldnt say he has been totally left out in the cold. Probably should have been brought on earlier in some of those matches.

i dont think theres anything wrong with what he has done. he's not getting enough matches and rather than say play me or ill leave, hes asked for a loan

I dont think its the end of the world either. He obviously wants to be playing as much as possible, in fact I'd think there was something wrong if a footballer didnt

He's asked, maybe Ajax even gave him the idea, but it was rejected. Maybe now is the time to judge him based on what he does next. Its up to him to grab the proverbial bull and start putting in the type of performances that means he HAS to get picked. So far he hasn't done this, but its early days
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Everyone saying Rafa should be giving him more starts need to remember Rafa is the one that sees Babel on the training pitch every week, not us. He's hardly set the world alight when he's been given a chance this season has he?
I say he should work hard, keep his head down and make the most of any time on the pitch he gets.

I hate that argument that he’s never given a chance. All these Babel obsessed supporters seem to conveniently ignore when he does actually play and more importantly when he plays ****. From 10th Feb he started 15 games and came on twice as a sub in 21 games, and was generally pish. How much of a chance does he need? All his best performances came earlier in the season when he came from the bench against tiring players. The boy has talent, but is nowhere near a first team place.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

well what does he see in keane or lucas for that matter.

we need strikers, we have an 11 million pound one sat on the bench who has hardly ever played as a striker for us. even when he should be played ngog comes on.

keane and babel should be played upfront together. if we want to continue to play babel as an attacking midfielder it should be on the right not the left.

there is no reason why babel is not being played. he had a really impressive first season and this year he's getting increasingly frustrated as he NEEDS to play to develop. We should never have bought him for 11 million if we're not giving him playing time to develop.

Every player comes back rusty - agger did it, alonso, masch and even torres does it. If they're not played regularly then they suffer. Now these are experienced internationals not emerging ones like babel. the lad needs a run of games and whilst torres is out there is no reason why he isn't playing. come on keane has been awful week in week out but he's got games.

carlos tevez is a much better player, gettin similar game time at man utd, he shuts the hell up and gets on with it, and he's not even signed on fully
he comes on and when he gets a game he scores 4 goals

                                babel should take note
