There's more to being a winger than just being high up the park in a crossing positon. A lot of the time, he wont be in a crossing position and will be required to keep the ball and use it intelligently to keep us in possession.
You can't say any of that without him being played there. He's beaten many a man in the last couple of games, both with sheer pace and strength and by quick 1-2's.Reira has 1 goal to his name I think so he's hardly much threat either and Doss has also shown he can spray a great crossfield pass in recent games

I'm not sayin he should be converted to a winger, just that hes an option given his ability to cross well and its too early to right him off and sell him.

    Now leave me alone

Yes i can say them as they're my opinion, formed by watching Dossena play and concluding that he's a limited footballer.

Riera has two goals to his name.

If you dont want to engage in a debate, dont contribute. Then i'll leave you alone.

Its ok I'll post my opinion when I feel like doing so.Dosen't mean its better or worse than yours but its equally valid.

You say he's **** after a handful of games,I say give him time,Italian defenders don't get capped by being **** and Evra didnt look much when he arrived first.

        I leave you be now

Of course your opinion is valid, i'd never dispute that.

With regards to the Italian national team, he's only played a few games and that aside, the priority is how he plays for us. Morientes was class in Spain but bobbins here. His brilliant record in La Liga didnt win us points.

          Have a good evening bud.

Well according to Andy Grey the first goal was Xabi's fault as he was marking McShane and left him.

Suddenly, the much derided Andy Gray becomes the bastion of truth, when he sides with you.

How many points has he cost us then? In your opinion.

and then, how many have mistakes by the other defenders cost us as well, so we can have a balanced viewpoint?

We have dropped 13 points this year. 11 when he has played

One could argue we have dropped 13 points when Carra has played.

How many when Carragher has played? Or Arbeloa?

I asked how many he'd like to attribute to Dossena.

What the **** could Dossena do for the first goal?? He had an 80kg ginger on top of his shoulders FFS.

Also remember that Carra was actually the one who put the ball in the net.....if he used his left foot....it wouldnt have happened

How many has Carragher stopped though and set up and Arbeloa has been outstanding and has scored too. I feel the players dont have much confidence in Dossena.

How many blocks has Dossena put in...stop avoiding the ****ing question, if you want to jump in...how many point has Dossena cost us, in your opinion?

Against Hull, i reckon that Carra was just as susceptible...that ball should have been going back from whence it came, with his other foot.

But the blocks Dossena puts in are as a result of him messing up after being caught out positionally?

                              He's a worse defender than Riise....and that's saying something

Dossena has been poor - WTGOR you must be deluded if you cannot accept that. It is impossible to quantify how many points he may have cost us. Off the top of my head I would say the only time I can remember thinking he could have prevented a goal was the second against Spurs in the league (when he should not have allowed the cross).

But that is not the point. The issue is he is not a good enough defender and his inclusion in the team gives the opposition a real focal point for their attacks, as witnessed on Saturday. Hull targeted him as our weak link, make no mistake about that.
