Below's what Ablett had to say from liverpoolfc.tv. Reading between the lines he seems to a little peeved at the established players not giving it their all like in previous seasons. Could there be a feeling of unease amongst our established reserves, specially when they see youngsters at Arsenal?

On paper that was the strongest reserves lineup I've seen in years. Should have beaten Hull's reserves with ease.

Gary Ablett couldn't hide his frustration after seeing his team end their 2008 league programme with a disappointing goalless draw against Hull City on Tuesday night.

It is now four games without a win for the second string, although they came desperately close to a breakthrough when Jay Spearing hit the post in the last minute.

"I don't think we deserved to win and the only positive to take from the performance was the fact we didn't concede a goal," Ablett told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"It was a very disappointing night for us. Hull played well. They were full of enthusiasm and never gave up but we just couldn't get going.

"We didn't create enough chances, we didn't look dangerous going down the wing and we didn't get enough players into the box.

"Jay could have won it for us right at the end but when he hit the post it probably summed up our night.

"I just thought we were very poor. This season we haven't reached the level we did last year at all and it's not good enough."
          One tit for another.

Pacheco was played on the Right wing and looked lost.
