Beye (fullback) is out. He's been very good under Kinnear so far. We'll have to keep an eye on N'Zogbia, that means Carra will have to play right back. No change at the back then. Hope Kuyt is 'rested' for this one, maybe start with Ngog and Keane?

    Reina
    Carra Agger Hyypia Insua
    Alonso Masch
    Keane Gerrard Riera
    Ngog
    One tit for another.

Not really sure N'gog has done anything worthy of a start though ?

I was thinking cramp myself, must be a while since he's played a full 90.

I think we may see Darby get a start with Carra moving into the middle.

I can see Mascher starting aswell.
That's what I'd go with, if Arbeloa is definitely out and Rafa is forced to go for a complete reshuffle because he can't trust Darby then there's no point in him being at the club.

With Kuyt and Masch in the team he'll hardly be left exposed.

Bassong went off with a red as well and Martins is touch and go.

I can see Darby against Newcastle, understand why Rafa wanted Carra and Hyypia at the back against an opposition like Bolton, with players like Elmander and Davies among others. Hopefully something like this:

                Reina

                Darby
                Carra
                Agger
                Insua

                Mascher
                Xabi
                Gerrard

                Kuyt
                Babel
                Keane

That still leaves Benni though who is hard to leave out atm. El Zhar, Lucas and Ngog will likely start against Preston with Dossena and Hyypia.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Keane up front on his own? No thanks.

If there's no torres, i'll take a 442 ta, even if it means Gerrard plays wide right.

That'd be insane mate. Keane is a forward, who plays well with a partner. N'gog isnt ready to lead the line on his own for the first team.

Martins didn't feature today. Is he out injured?

Ngog needs games and is quick. So is Babel, but I think that chapter is coming to a close. Keane won't be able to lead the line for two games in 3 days. Ngog showed that with some confidence he could hold the ball up for Gerrard/Keane/Riera while also being able to finish himself.

If it doesn't work then push Keane up to a 442 and take Mascher off for El Zhar.

                              Sami won't start IMO.

                                i'm guessing:

                                reina

                                darby
                                carra
                                agger
                                insua

                                gerard
                                alonso
                                masher
                                riera

                                kyut
                                keane

i know that has stevie right side of midfield but i can see rafa dropping benni to get masher back in the team. kyut and keane done good together yesterday and with keano scoring twice rafa will surely want to keep him off a front man.

oh aye, canny mind who said it earlier in thread but i agree bout babel being finished with us. he MUST have upset rafa somehow. he was immense last 10 games of last season and even though he was injured or comming back from injury start of season, there is no other reason i can think of as to why rafa doesnt even play him as sub anymore. to bring on el zhar and ngog before him yesterday makes no sense. it's not even as if he can say he was resting him or saving him for bigger games cause he's hardly played enough to be tired. his confidence will be shot to **** now and i am very dissapointed with the whole situation as i'm certain he'll be offloaded for a substantial loss in the january window. and whatr makes it worse is i can see him going to a big team ( the arsenal, one of the madrid teams, juve etc....) and being a big hit.....shame.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
