Viduka and Enrique are out for the barcodes, think Martins is out as well.

Yeah, they're really struggling for players, Bassong and Beye have been their best defenders all season, with those 2 out we should be able to really get at their backline.

Yeah, in fact it was a variant of a 5-3-2 - Tony Barrett was talking about that in the Echo last week - http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=57026

Team could really be anything, I doubt Torres will start and I hope he plays Insua again though I have a feeling Rafa may think 2 games in 3 days is too much.

Martins is certainly out injured along with Viduka, Beye, Bassong and Jose Enrique.

We are far superior to them and with those injuries it makes them even ****ter

We should win, barring a disaster.

Kuyt and Riera were all subbed yesterday so they may well start again.

          Reina

          Arbeloa
          Carra
          Agger
          Insua

          Mascher
          Xabi

          Kuyt
          Gerrard
          Riera

          Keane

Let's hope Kinnear doesn't do a Wimbledon on us and go for the long ball.

I can see a repeat of Friday's scoreline for sure.

Masher has been a little bit of liability of late ...

Would swap Masher for Benny and have Stevie playing with Xabi with playing Robbie behind Kuyt .. basically the team that spanked Bolton

I'm really hoping to see Torres on the bench and getting a good run out second half.

A fit Torres with Keane beginning to show some form, Gerrard & Alonso just magnificent, the best keeper in the world and even Carragher's storming forward and firing off a screamer will put the fear of Shanks into the also rans.

Javier Mascherano returns to the starting XI for Liverpool's final match of 2008 at Newcastle United. Listen live from 11.30 GMT.
The midfielder comes in for Xabi Alonso as the Reds make three changes from the team that secured a comfortable Boxing Day triumph over Bolton.

Ryan Babel and Lucas Leiva also start with Robbie Keane and Albert Riera dropping to the bench.

The Reds have also been boosted by the return from injury of Martin Skrtel who is named amongst the substitutes.

The Liverpool team in full: Reina, Carragher, Insua, Agger, Hyypia, Mascherano, Lucas, Gerrard, Kuyt, Babel, Benayoun. Subs: Cavalieri, Keane, Riera, Alonso, Ngog, El Zhar, Skrtel.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
