I like his articles - shame he doesn't have a larger readership. However I do suspect he might just be a Liverpool supporter.

Not sure he is to be honest, when GH was our manager he used to slate him (even when we were winning the UEFA cup etc), think he just recognises what a good manager Rafa is and how he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Even now he usually has a pop at Ged when writing articles about Liverpool.

He may or may not be a red,many reds have differing opinions on Ged.

Fanning is indeed a Liverpool fan. Have had the pleasure of meeting him once or twice. He writes for the Sunday Indo over here in Ireland, hence his slightly restricted readership. His Dad is editor of the paper but he'd have got a job anyway I'd say

My favourite journo, always cuts through and gets behind the waffle, hype and hysteria of Premier league coverage although he's not averse to criticising Rafa either, he just does so in a more level headed way.

I'm surprised though how his article mentioned both Keane and Berbatov in such close proximity yet failed to point out how the latter cost 9million more, works about 10% as hard and has scored way less. Yet I don't see any bull**** whispering campiagn in the press about him, simply because he's a Man Yoo luvvy.
