Shows how good we can be when we hit form. Lucas and Insua both looked extremely assured today.Originally posted by REDrascal View PostBetter than my wildest dreams that result, having seen the starting line up, Fantastic.

Second game in succession were we have totally dominated the game and really did not allow the opposition to play at all. Today in particular, except a few set plays we really did not allow newcastle into the game. Scored a load of goals and could have had more and yet we still rested a lot of players showing we have a decent squad.
Summary
A fine game by lucas, what a pass for gerrard to finish. also had a good number of attempts on goal himself and did well on the right and in the middle today with good passing and good pressing.
Im not a fan of bennayoun but the last two games he has played really well and created good chances for others.
Babel was a let down once again for me. not good enough
Insua had another good game were he was only beaten once by duff (and lets face it duffs is hardly ****)
The fact that we were dangerous from corners shows how bad newcastle were defending.
oh and nice to see skittles back !!

I am sick of hearing about us beating "**** teams".
On Boxing Day, Bolton were "****". They are a team in form who, pretty much either side of the two drubbings we've handed them, have carried all before them.
Newcastle have displayed lots more resilience of late with improved results. Yes today they were undeniably poor, but that surely has everything to do with our marauding brilliance. We never get credit for making the opposition play poorly and then tearing them open at will. I think we're the best team in the league. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Simply superb performance. The gulf in class was a chasm. Lucas was excellent, Gerrard dominated them, the defence were decent and Insua looked useful again.
Only downside is Babel, still looks lazy and sloppy. Needs to sort himself out.
Kuyt was also good, shame he couldnt get on the scoresheet.
And Chelsea are losing

Every other team is **** though.
Example,
Number 14, Liverpool.
Will Play
Number 39, (insert name)
Every forum on the net
'We'll batter them, theyre ****'
Another example,
....Real Madrid.
Same forums
'Is right, theyre ****in ****'
See a pattern here?

Haha yeah I thought that. It was very Van Nistelrooy-esque, shamefully.Originally posted by ric.williams View Postah yes i forgot to mention kuyt. did play really well up on his own.
babel kinda over celebrated his 1 yarder, what was all that about?
I think it was just personal relief after a lot of frustration lately. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

****ing brilliant performance outclassed Newcastle from start to finish.
Lets keep it going in 2009."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."
