Stupid question really, you're probably the editor.

Thanks for the media tuition. I know they sensationlise any story, and I like slagging them off for it.
Is how i see it, same for other teams fans too.

Although some reporters/writers/pundits do revel in any downturn of LFC's fortunes....no doubt about that, and again, it'll be the same for fans of other clubs who feel the same about how they are treated by the media. (Except Villa under O'neil it seems.) . damn, why did i mention Villa, it's that victim mentality taking over again.

        From bbc

A police spokesman said: "Merseyside Police is investigating an assault that took place in the early hours of Monday December 29 on Bold Street in Southport.

"At around 2.30am this morning officers attended a disturbance at a licensed premises on Bold Street.

"Six men were arrested on suspicion of section 20 assault, on Lord Street."

The spokesman added all six currently remained in custody. It is believed no other Liverpool footballers are among those being held.

Gerrard was born and grew up on Huyton's Bluebell Estate.

Last month the Premier League star was given the freedom of his home borough of Knowsley in recognition of his contribution to football.

Liverpool FC said it would not be commenting.

          Who said he'd been released?

And what does Gerrard growing up on the Bluebell estate have to do with anything?

          Those uncouth council estate scum.

I wonder, have Sky sent their best men to the Police Station, you know..to give viewers the best possible service, and to find out what EXACTLY went on.

Apparently he is still in custody and the club are refusing to comment.

Also had a text (I know this means nothing due to rumour mongering) saying he was arrested on suspicion of GBH.

I hope to god this has nothing to do with Gerrard. It would be awful timing if it does.

Gerrard was arrested after a disturbance at the Lounge Inn, a restaurant close to the junction of Bold Street and Stanley Street.

The Lounge Inn also doubles-up as a DJ and live music venue. Southport, a prosperous seaside town, is known as somewhere where footballers from nearby Premier League clubs such as Liverpool go to socialise.

No one from the restaurant was available to comment on Monday.

A spokesman for Liverpool Football Club declined to confirm or deny that Gerrard was involved.

Obviously some bitter or manc trying to be smart. Hopefully Stevie landed a good one on him.

Pretty apathetic towards this to be honest.

Stevie probably has a day off today, so thought he would have a couple of cheeky ones last night and let his hair down. It is Christmas after all. He is entitled to have a laugh with his mates.

I bet "facial injuries" is probably just a bluenose gettting smacked on by one of Stevie's mates after a bit of baiting. Police took them all in for a few questions.

                        No biggie.

Oh no. Rafa minus kidney stones is going to kick his sorry arse, providing it was him and not Elvoz blaming him.

It's just a storm in a tea-cup really - a bit of dodgy publicity and nothing else.

In this country the Labour government are against putting people away - other than for murdering someone - as it offends their public school sensibilities, so judges rarely punish miscreants. The threat of being made to wear an orange bib and sweep the streets is the latest brainwave emanating from their finest minds to stop the knife crime epidemic (I feel safer already), so in the unlikely event Gerrard was culpable (more likely one of the others has chinned a loudmouth) he'd get a slap on the wrist at worst and it'll all be forgotten about in a few weeks

Mountain out of a molehill, probably somebody put up to it by one of the London press trying to rock the boat, or am I just going crazy with conspioracy theories?

What a load of bollocks. Why is the prison population at a record high then?
                                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
