    I expect us to win the title because no one of the other big clubs has showed that they are better than us.

    Man U is playing **** compared to how they use to play.

    Chelsea is playing their worst football since Roman bought the club.

    Arsenal have Fabregas out a long time and won't challenge because of that.

    Our economic situation compared to Man U and Chelsea should really make it almost impossible for us to win the league but Rafa is Rafa and that means that we have a chance.
    Just believe and you never know what will happen.

    According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

      Fair enough. I love your confidence

        People now expect the title eh?
        Calm down a bit I say.
        It is still wide open and the other big guns have been down this road before.

          Still a long time to go. I'm happy that we are at this stage of the season and 'contesting' for the title. We can't write off either United or Chelsea - I suspect United will be the team to beat as they have those intangible two games in hand at home. We carry on winning and we obviously will win the title, easier said than done, of course.

            Pre-season;
            Expectation: To be in the top and nto drop out of the race before Christmas. Just some tangible progress.
            Apsiration: To win everything we compete in.

            Now;
            Expectation: To be in at the end fighting.
            Apsiration: To win everything we compete in.

              As cruel as it will be i cant see past the scum for the title, i just cant.
              It's a cliche but we just need to take one game at a time and see how we get on.

                I expect us to stay in the hunt right to the end now.

                If we win, fantastic. If we lose, then i still see positives. The players will now know what it takes to win this league. They will realise how much the drawn home games have cost us, and we will be all the better for it in the next few seasons.

                If Xabi and Stevie maintain their form, and Torres replicates his form of last season we will be right there to the last day IMO. Add in Keane, who until the Preston game had looked like he was coming into form, and we have enough firepower to maintain this challenge.

                  Yes that's true Harv but will we have a better chance of winning it? I'm not so sure, United, Chelsea and maybe Arsenal will buy in the summer and have a stronger team. I think you have to strike when the iron is hot and it's very right now

                    Win the next game, which is always the most important. A weekly expectation!

                      I agree Marky.

                      Whatever happens, the scum and chavs will strengthen in the summer so this has to be our time IMO.

                      If we can keep key personell injury free I feel we are right in there with our best chance in ages.

                      I would be a bit more confident if someone knee capped Ronaldo all the same

                        I dont think Chelski will be buying much this summer. Roman is feeling the pinch

                        We will be able to buy another top class player i reckon. We managed to buy Keane this season, when we supposedly didnt have any money. So i think another big signing would be a possibility.

                        I expect Ronaldo to leave this summer...and the only player that they could buy that would have any chance of replacing what he gives them is Messi...which wont happen.

                          I hope the Tevez transfer crap causes a stir over at OT

                            Got a feeling that if we don't win it this year its going to be even harder next year. This is the first time in 5 years that the usual suspects (ManU, Chelsea & Arsenal) have been throwing away oints for fun. Very strange season.

                              I agree with that but for different reasons, I think the current financial situation has/will hit us the hardest of the top 4 clubs. I see United and Chelsea in particular having decent amounts of money to spend in the summer where as I can't see us having the same, the fact United have spent between £16m and £17m on these two kids shows they still have money to spend, at present I don't see us being able to match that.

                              We are in a good position in the league at present but I think United and Chelsea will make big signings in the summer to improve their squads and open up a gap on us.
                              The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                                I think Man City's billions may be a blessing in disguise. Rafa can go about his transfer dealings as usual, but ManU & Chelsea's spending policy will be directly affected i.e. Robhinio
