Anyone who thinks Everton are going to be an easy game hasn't seen many derby matches. They will be full on in our faces for both games. I think it's a crap draw for us. Everton will give all they've got over both games. It will be immensely physical and whoever loses the first game will be double motivated for the second. I foresee the outcome being knocks, bruises, injuries , yellow and maybe a red card or so over both games. We need this like a hole in the head whtever the outcome.

You think people on this site have just woken up to be Liverpool fans this morning?

Derbies are physical and a battle, but ffs, we've played plenty and come through fine.

And the game at Woodison this season was a walk in the park, so yes, they can be easy sometimes.

These are the games we as fans want to see and the games the players want to play in!

This is what makes the FA cup so special. It's been ages since we've been involved in a cup match against Everton, it will be a brilliant atmosphere too and it will also cause a lot of banter between rival fans in the city in the build up. I'm absolutely made up we're playing them. One thing's for sure, I doubt very much they'll be as ****e as they were at Goodison and I agree with you that we'll have to be well up for it and right on our toes from start to finish.

          Should be good.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I think the true odds are 30/1. There were 30 other teams we could have drawn. Do I win the pedantic poster award? I'm a little disappointed with the draw. I couldn't care less about the Cup .. and not much more about the Champions League now that we have a shot at winning the league again. The less additional games we have against emBittered opponents the better. We're not going to be resting players for this game .... and we risk unwanted injuries in a game of the intensity this one attracts.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

I was refering to the odds of LFC being drawn first, as the original poster put it, and EFC being drawn second. So I am right.:bird:

No you're not. The odds on that would be 31/1 * 30/1 = 930/1 (ie there are 31 other numbers apart from Livepool's which could have been drawn first). And then 30 chances that Everton were not drawn next to the 1 that they were. Anyway, I'm even boring myself now....

Anyway, I agree with your sentiment. I don't like the draw either as it does mean we'll have to try harder in that game than we would otherwise.
btw LFC is 1 of 32 teams in the draw... it is 1/32

Disappointed we didn't get Kettering (where I live), but apart from that it's ok!!

All you can really ask for is a home tie and we got one. No problem.
