The reason is the long term safety of the club being more important than one title.

But doesn't them staying on mean we are stuck with skint owners for the long term, meaning winning the title this season would only delay the Scum equalling/passing our Title total, where as if they sold, we take the chance on someone beating them to it this season, if not so they go equal, only for us to then be bought by a mega rich footie fanatic ruler of whatever country that then finances our Title winning team for next season where we go one ahead of the Scum...then 2..then 3...etc. throw in a couple of Champions leagues and a Quadruple to **** on their treble...well...what would you choose now.

I've voted for the title. I think this club needs that right now more than it needs more instability. In the current economic climate we need our next owners to be people who care more about the club than making money, and I'm not sure that's what we'll get if H&G sell now.

Its potentially very short-sighted and selfish, but I'd say no.19 first, then worry about the rest.

I say yay please to the title, **** the owners just get rafa on a contract and let him sort the league title(s) out! I remember reading a huge essay on rawk I think it was, called "it's on" gave me goose pimples and I think i'm gonna reread it - on a side note anyone realised we're masters of getting ourselves out of sticky situations? usually get ourselves a win the biggest games? Magnify that by a few multiples and you have the situation at the moment with utd up our arses

Usually when answering a 'difficult' (which this is not for most people) poll then the best method is to look for actual tangibles.

People are saying option 2 is best for long term of club. How? If GH sell the next owners might go hedge funding galore. Who's to say DIC will come in. Why would they? No tangibles here I'm afraid, just lots of uninformed wishful thinking.

However, those answering option 1 see the only real tangible. We win the league. End of. We might go bankrupt after this, but then that could happen with option 2 as well.

IMHO the long term future of the club will be better if we win the title anyway.

G&H will still be in a financial ****hole but we'll be looking a much better prospect for someone to buy. They'll still sell if they're in a position of needing to now, just there will be more options so we'll get a better new owner.

We'll have the monkey off our back and be much more confident.

If we win the league and continue to do so then we will draw better players and more money anyway.

This is will make the club a better prospect for potential buyers and perhaps hasten the departure of the current owners.
