The standards of some of our fans are embarrassing.
If you're only happy when we win the league then you've been a miserable person for a long time. I'm happy that we've made progress, that we're making progress.

Fingers crossed. Something tells me that Bernard Cribbins will bend over for his old gaffer.

I'm happy when we make the most out of what we've got. I'm happy when we win things. I think Liverpool should be bigger than just being happy to be in the top few places.

We're capable of winning it, so if we dont, it'll be a huge let down.

If we werent capable of winning it, then that'd be fair enough, but we are.

        Maybe i've got higher standards.

With hindsight, this was an epic fail by Rafa.

We all want to win it mate! Some of us seem to be more patient than others. Nobody would be happier than me for us to win the league this season, but I'm still satisfied that we're at the very least closing the gap on Man United and Chelsea. All of the top teams have been inconsistent this season, we've been least inconsistent hence being top of the league. Torres and Skrtel are back, we've had one poor league game - I'm still optimistic.

Agreed, it was some terrible decision making by Rafa that had the impact, not his press conference.

                Patient?

It's nigh on 20 years and during that time, we havent come remotely close.

This year is our best chance for nearly two decades. TWO DECADES.

If we dont win it, it'll be because we ****ed it up.

So yeah, i'm a bit miffed at that prospect.

It's this "I'm delighted to be closing the gap on Man United and Chelsea" loser's mentality that has seen us fall so far.

Rafa is the one who has ****ed up this weekend. Treating the trip to stoke like it was a tie at the san siro and putting Kuyt up on his own. As soon as i saw the team i turned the tv off as i knew we were never going to score against them with that team out.

As for the people saying it was the same team that put 5 past newcastle the difference is Newcastle try to win games and score where as Stoke park the bus and bully you. We treated them like they were Real madrid FFS and not what we should have which was cannon fodder for Nando and Keane.

The united result has just made Rafa look like a right idiot. When he said those things i was pumped as i thought he would put out and attacking line up to back up his words but what does he do? He puts a team out that would not even score in a whore house.

People keep saying how many times will rafa do this before he gets it into his head that that team section of kuyt up on his own is ****? I think he will never get it into his head and that will cost us at the end of the season.

It's so frustrating but what else is new with Rafa? We SHOULD have been six points clear tonight regardless of what the scum did in their games in hand knowing we would still be clear. Now we go into the derby looking like it will be in second place knowing the bitter ****s will do their up most to **** us over.

Rafa Banitez = Epic fail this weekend.

If we don't win it, it will simply be because we weren't quite good enough. I don't have a loser's mentality, I can recognise progress.

I'm reserving judgment on the success or failure as yet.
I think the players let themselves down yesterday.
However, I think Mr Howard Webb has responded in a way that perhaps all refs might. "Take that corner again!" Would that have happened before last week, when Utd scored at home?

                      Booked: Ronaldo, Rooney, Park.
Booked: Lampard, Bosingwa, Carvalho, Terry, Belletti

How many times have people asked the question how did the underlined players not get booked for that, when mere mortals would have, for the same offences?

So we're not good enough to beat Stoke, Fulham, West Ham, Hull etc?

Bollocks, we're good enough, we've just ****ed up.

                          Great(!)

It's about time people stopped being blinded by this whole 'top of the league' stuff.

Dropping points against **** clubs has put us in the situation where we'll struggle to stay top of the league. Fact.
That is the silliest comment I have ever seen. Well done Craig.

As usual mate, you just say something without any meaning or explanation.

                            Well done yourself.

People have dismissed our ****e performances and inability to break down ****e defences, by blindly stating that we're top of the league.

Well, it's papered over the cracks and this time next week, it wont be valid anymore. Then what will the excuse-makers say?

I think we had our chance to put a gap between us and the rest and have blown it. It is going to be really hard now if united win their two other games. I think then in order for us to win the league we will have to beat Chelsea at our place then the head to head with the mancs at old toilet.

                                Precisely.

We had easy chances (several of them) to make ourselves favourites and WE ****ed it up.
