That is my biggest worry - all the scummy manc loving press will portray this as Benitez cracking under pressure when it is clear it is quite the opposite - he is merely asserting his control in the psychological battle with Fergie.

So long as the players see the correct picture behind the scenes then i don't think it matters what the manc media say, they will see/know Rafa is in control, and laugh at the press's coverage of the story, all along knowing how calculated Rafa's little speech was.

Rafa had this well planned, he took the notes out of his pocket for this one.
Imho this will also give our players a kick in the back side to come out fighting for the team, the fighting mentality rafa is always looking for, I also think a small part of it may have been designed to take some of the heat off gerrard.

This will be a brilliant tactical move only if we then go out and beat Stoke. IMO Ferguson's led with his chin and Rafa's landed one on him. Best way to deal with bullies. Take a calculated risk and get in there first.
