How can you not be pissed off at that?

I'm not directing that at anyone in particular, i just mean i cant understand how any LFC fan could be not pissed off at those results.
I would say most Liverpool fans were annoyed but are still happy at how we have done this season. I dont see any reason to go overboard on these results and prefer to look at the whole season.

It surprises me how some like you and 'Craig' poo your pant's everytime we drop points telling the world "oh no it's over, we're all doomed". We are all disappointed but it's football, we are in a title race. Guess what, we'll drop more, so best prepare yourself because it is only going to intensify.

No ****. Problem is have the 4th highest wage bill, expecting us to walk the league is a bit rich. Anyway I'm getting a bit pissed off with some of our supporters moaning and whinging. It's time to get battle hardened and FFS believe and enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Rafa Benitez insists he has no regrets over comments he made about Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson during his weekly press conference on Friday.
The Spaniard was speaking after Liverpool's goalless draw with Stoke, a result which keeps his side top of the Barclays Premier League.

Benitez said: "If Mr Ferguson would stop talking about Liverpool maybe it would be good. He is clearly nervous about Liverpool.

"I can tell you that a lot of people have sent a lot of messages - not to me but to my staff and a lot of people at the club - to say, 'At least one person has said something everybody wanted to say.'

"Maybe because in 20 years nobody could say these things and maybe a lot of people were thinking the same but didn't want to say.

"I have known Mr Ferguson for five years now and I think it's too early to be playing mind games. He has to think about his own team.

"I have a lot of respect for him. He is a great manager but he was talking too much about Liverpool, so clearly he has to stop.

"My concern now is to prepare the team for the next game against Everton and that's it. I always say we take things one game at a time - that is my philosophy and my idea."

The more I think about it the more on Rafa's side I become. The alternative to me is to say that it is fine to have a blatant bias in the FA and other regulatory systems and that because Ferguson is obnoxious enough to be willing to target individuals and to withdraw from press conferences etc. then he should be allowed to get away with it. The media is complicit in letting him get away with it as they always soft pedal criticism for fear he will withdraw their access. I really do think that at some point someone had to stand up to him and on this occasion Rafa had a good set of facts to back him up and so it was as well timed as it would ever be.

The fact we played poorly against Stoke does make an easy story for the media against Rafa and also for fans. However if anyone had made exactly the same points Rafa made on Friday on here or any forum for any PL team (United excepted) then I think you would have got widespread support and that a lot of the feeling now is personal dislike of Rafa which seems to have been stoked by a couple of newspapers since he arrived.

I think if you leave yourself open to looking stupid or a cock when you are fighting for the right things then thats fair enough. The fact that no one else in the game has the balls to back him makes them all look slightly pathetic in my eyes.

Whilst I agree with what Rafa had to say would it be wrong to say the timing could have been better? Ideally he should have said this on 'live' tv after we beat Stoke, IMO.

Nah, What would have been is after the draw he came out with it and ended with 'I will love it if we beat them, love it'
                            We come not to play.

I don't think that managers are really given the forum to go into such an extended speech after a match. I think the timing was right as part of it had to be seen by our players as a vote of confidence and as Rafa standing up for him. The blame for the fact they failed to respond should largely be with the players I feel.
