Whilst not ideal we will manage without Keane ok, after all he hardly played anyway. Surely this means the end of Parry though, i mean this whole transfer smacks of interference from board room level and now Rafa has sorted it out Parry simply has to go.

Ngog, Kuyt, Babel, are all capable of playing up front, no where near Torres standard but then again nor was Keane.

The way I see it is....this was our only chance to make back the bulk of the money we spent/wasted on him. Spurs' hand has been forced by Defoe's injury and they would never have paid this amount in the summer. Keane was never going to make it here and Rafa knows it, so sells for a £15m premium.

Agreed. However, some kind of cover might have been useful. A loan or short term signing. If Torres gets injured we're pretty much screwed.....suppose we just ran out of time.

I like Robbie and think it's a shame that he didn't gel with the team. Plenty of other players have had similar fates over the years. We all know that if we'd had an opportunity to play for even a single cameo substitute appearance in the Red shirt we would have jumped at the chance. Whether he's just been a pawn in some behind the scenes battle or not we may never know fully, but I think he's got plenty of class and will just get on with it back at Spurs. Good luck.

really disappointed keane has left. you dont lose that striker ability overnight. the treatment he has had during his 6 months was pretty disgusting IMO. he has played poor - of that there is no doubt - but i still think he would have come good. spurs have done a good bit of business today. as i said in another thread, the only good thing to come out of this deal is that maybe babel will get his chance to play up front now.
