    Torres comments

I know a thread on this has already been started and closed.

I just want to say that when players do press conferences and get asked questions about an opposing team such as Man U, that they give answers such as "They're a great team", "We should respect them".

We shouldn't respect them at all they're ****ing ****e. We shouldn't respect any team we play against. The players should go out on that pitch with 100% arrogance and belief each and every time they play. The players should say this on tv, obviously not in the way that I've said it but they should say we're ready for the fight, we're not scared of Utd and can't wait to play them at Old Trafford. This way it shows that we're ready for the cunts when we play them in March.

****ing too much respect for the opposition these days. The players we have are quality, a bit of arrogance and cockiness would help them.

I think it would come if we won the league, you need to win titles to develop that kind of attitude.

The spanish lads should have a bit of it after euro 2008.

We'll never win titles unless we develop that kind of attitude though Craig. It needs to be done now.

You're right about the Spanish lads, they should have that attitude already. It pisses me off. The Liverpool teams of old had this, this is why they were so successful and gave them that sense of invincibility. Yes it is arrogant but who cares, we need to be back on our perch now where we belong.

It has certainly done the scum no harm since they adopted this attitude about 15 years ago!

We adopted the underdog attitude around the same time.

I suppose our players need to come across on TV with a bit of dignity and professionalism. If we don't do that, we open up that massive can 'O worms that is the Liverpool way 'n all that.

We were Champions of Europe not so long ago, what's more major than that? We only have the league left and that's it. The current crop of players should be a lot more confident than what they are. They've won pretty much everything else there is to win. They should have kicked on from winning the CL.

Exactly, they've become a very arrogant team and this has helped to breed their confidence no end. In normal life you couldn't get away with it but these guys are superstars, idols to millions.

The current team have to believe they're the best. They're not some team kicking a ball around in the park. They are Liverpool Football Club, top of the Premier League and battling their most hated rivals for the league, something they haven't done for a long time.

Now is the time to bring the fight on.

Half that squad arent here now.

And it needs to be a snowball effect, you win something, you get cocky, you go on to win more and more and it snowballs.

A CL win 3 and a half years ago, without much more since, isnt enough.

That's a fair point, however they are a still a team a team of decent players who have to show some belief in themselves. If they can't do that then we as fans won't follow.

The team we have now contain better players than those that won the CL. Players of real top quality and class. They have to show some arrogance and total confidence in themselves and each other. They are playing for themselves, each other and the fans. And most of all for Liverpool Football Club, they don't need anymore than that.

Every time they turn up at Anfield or pull on that Red shirt, that should be more than enough to get out there and put on a performance. It should be something that's instilled in every Liverpool player from the day they sign.

Agree with you totally Slink. It's about time this Liverpool side stood up to be counted. That's probably harsh considering how well we've done this season but to go the whole way and lift the title takes a certain about of arrogance and a **** the rest of yas approach. All good players and teams have it.
Would anyone give a **** if we weren't doing things in the Liverpool way if it meant we won the league? i doubt it.

No, would they bolloks. We are doing well but we need to have some confidence in ourselves. Rafa always mentions it but the players don't seem to have a lot of it.

We've done well so far but now we have to take it to another level. It's all in the mind now for the players. If they don't believe in themselves then we're all ****ed. They have to start showing it with some quality performances where they're terrifying teams.

Utd will be ****ting their grids then and it will be this sheer confidence that will take us into the game at Old Trafford. If we keep going on drawing games then we're feeding it to them and that's what they want. The ****ers thrive off it. The longer we can go fighting the more Utd will be fear us. The cunts know they have a battle on their hands now. We're their main rivals and they know it.
