Given the importance of this one I'd prefer Gerrard behind Torres and Masher alongside Alonso, Keane on the bench as he's terribly out of form at the moment.

In fact I can't Rafa starting Keane unless he's been recovering from an injury or similar that we knew nothing about. Why not even 10 mins v Stoke.

If Keane does play I hope he plays a blinder, he deserves some luck.

Out of form? One bad game against Preston? What about the goals in the previous games. At times I think people are a little harsh on him.

Now if you'd said Kuyt was out of form I'd whole heartedly agree.

I have a gut feeling we are going to trounce them tonight.

Fingers crossed Torres starts and so does Keane, with Gerrard and Alonso playing CMs.

Or maybe Rafa will surprise us and play Stevie on the right!!

Ps, Why is emotion, nerves so damn hard to control, i know it's only football, not a blood relative in trouble or anything at all like that, but nevertheless games like this make my stomach churn.

Keane started against Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal and played well in all of them.
I hope he playes tonight and does well, 1 good performance from him and Torres and all the self belief will come flooding back

Just about to get changed and set off from work to the game - Its been a while but I think that we are due to give someone a thumping at Anfield. Tight 20 mins then either a Gerrard or a Riera goal t set it up nicely.

I also think a few cards are going to b dished out tonight - Who's reffin. ?

Not all that happy about Gerrard - Alonso as a midfield partnership to be honest. I can see how it might work but I think Everton are often good enough to make it difficult in the middle and Gerrard in that situation tends to make too many long passes and we don't really have anyone to make those stick.
