    Everton Post Match Thread

From a position of great strength, we capitulate. Pretty much like the position we were in last week after Rafa's stupid rant. Kuyt up front? Benayoun? Lucas? Again? Why? Rafa's contract must wait at the end of the season because he has not convinced me that we are a title outfit. Whilst United score late goals, we concede them. Bye bye title, United have just equalled us and the hard work from Mssrs Shankly, Paisley, Fagan and Dalglish has been undone. Fantastic. I can't wait for next season - I wonder what dross Rafa will bring in then.

The team completely chokes under pressure. Every last one, except for maybe Gerrard. What is our record as the league leaders? I think we may have won one game as league leaders. Maybe two.

I agree. Rafa is as coward as Houllier while Fergie's team is all about attacking!!! From a position of 8 points + we ended -1 point under the scum thanks to defensive football.

we won't if we continue to sit back, not close opposition down, and pretty much capitulate against physical challenge. I thought it was a pretty gutless performance all in to be honest and very very disappointed. I am a Rafa supporter but he needs to take a look at the decisions he is making and the effect of them. How often is he going to bring Benayoun and Lucas on to give needless ball and free kicks away?

so it's nothing to do with us beating the scum, chelsea, man city away and all them other games is it?

We blame it on Rafa not only today but for playing slow predictable football vs Stoke, Hull, Fulham and Westham! (8 points)

United only drew vs Newcastle at home if I'm not mistaken.

it wasn't that though. I was screaming that 1) benayoun was the wrong side which ended in a stupid free kick, and 2) the wall was not covering enough of the area. He brought him on to do what he does...

My gripe with Rafa is that the team really didn't take the game and control it once we got the first goal - we rather passed it and then lost it instead of tempting Everton to come back and chase the game and create chances.

Kuyt did **** all today yet finished the game, that will be Rafa's downfall.

What worries me is that we dont seem to have any fluidity to our play. The Toffees bossed the 1st half, had more chances & to be honest, they deserved the draw even though it makes me sick to say it. I've been dreading matchdays of late & that's why.

We dont have a strong enough squad to really compete with Scum & the Chavs, but these ridiculous static home draws and inability to carve out opportunities are soul-destroying.

Amateurish substitution. Brings on Babel to get a goal with two minutes left. He's happy to go and win games 1-0....that's when you **** up in the last ten mins, negative tactics
