Fair play. I just assumed when you mentioned about kenny overseeing rafa, that you'd intended to have them working together. I doubt Rafa would accept a director of football or anyone really overseeing him.

if he couldn't handle the pressure of being manager back when we were dominant, how would he handle it now when the pressures of the modern game are so much larger?
The "pressure" he was talking about was the aftermath of Hillsborough. Kenny & Marina attended every funeral & visited the injured in hospital as well as comforting the bereaved - that sort of pressure would have caused most men to have cracked.
He could handle the pressure of being a manager no problem and I would be glad to see him back - we played bloody good football and won stuff back then.

Daglish took over a dominant team who could afford to break transfer records.

He's a legend but I don't think he'd be doing any better than Rafa under the present circumstances. In fact I have my suspecions he'd be out of his depth and unable to take us forward at all.

He's better staying where he is as a past legend who will always be special to us.

He should come back as a worldwide ambassador for the football club, something similiar to what Sir Bobby Charlton does
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I remember the L4 thing back in the day, with Kenny heading up the project in a similar role to Niall Quinn at the Mackems. That would have been fantastic for the club.

When he did return to management he didn't exactly set the premiership alight anyway. Winning just one prem with the richest owner does not count.

This doesn't excuse Souness and his almighty f*ckup, but that's another story for hindsight.

Wasn't that all just a figment of fat Dunk's imagination????

He's already an ambassador for the club - its just an unofficial title
