    Wigan vs Liverpool Match Thread

Yossi Benayoun returns to the Liverpool starting line-up for tonight's Premier League clash with Wigan Athletic as Rafa Benitez makes three changes from Sunday's 1-1 draw with Everton. Listen live from 7.15pm GMT.
The Israeli international comes into the side in place of Dirk Kuyt on the right wing, while Fabio Aurelio replaces Andrea Dossena at left-back and Lucas Leiva comes in for Xabi Alonso at the centre of midfield.

The Liverpool team in full: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Aurelio, Benayoun, Lucas, Mascherano, Babel, Gerrard, Torres.
Subs: Cavalieri, Dossena, Agger, Keane, Alonso, Riera, Kuyt.

Hmm thought Xabi would have been a definite starter. Good to see Babel continuing to start.

        Anyway lets do em over!

Can't believe Alonso isn't starting. We're shooting ourself in the foot. No Agger either when Skrtel has been poor.

Not sure about that side, its not exactly our normal first choice 11 is it? He's gonna get ****ing slated if we dont win this one.

Great. Lucas & Masch in the centre. Must be playing for the 0-0 tonight then.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

****ing hell. Normally I defend Rafa to the hilt but I am perplexed. No Alonso - WTF?

Rafa's brave, I'll give him that.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

And a European Championship winner on the bench. Brainless from Rafa

It is when we have two better international midfield players on the bench, plus the best in the world as an attacker. Let's hope this gamble pays off, there's no point resting players for Chelski if we lose today.

Interesting team selection, I'm suprised Alonso doesn't play as he's been the one pulling all the strings in the centre of the park, so far this season we have rarely been the same team when he hasn't been playing.

Babel starts again and there's no Kuyt, both of which should please some, I had a feeling with what I read in the press this week that if there were to be changes tonight Keane would have been playing...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
