    Bellamy Wales Captain

Cant it only be good for LFC?
Or could it possibly distract him a little?
Personally I think it could be a good thing, as it might make him sit up and think about his actions a bit more.
    Thoughts?.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Hopefully he can act on this and score a few goals for Wales over the next week... Can only be a good thing for his confidence.

Surely that is the total reverse of how you should feel. If he's scoring for Wales with the limitations of the support players around him, then he'll be banging them in for fun for the mighty reds soon enough.

            Or perhaps not

As Polo said, I know theoretically it means he should score with better support players, but its just frustrating to see a player of his calss not get on the scoresheer asmuch as he should, wouldnt be suprised if he put in an inspired performance for Wales after being given the captaincy anyway.

I take your point Bazza and it's pretty clear that Bellamy has lost his confidence in front of goal. I'm sure he'll start scoring a few once he gets his first one. I'd quite happily take a couple of Bellamy goals before the Blackburn game. It will be the boost he needs.

Yeah, hopefully a goal for Wales will have a similar effect on him as scoring infront of the kop.

Wow that is a trashing. Well Ireland are getting beat 3-2 by Cyprus at the moment and Scotland have just beaten Fance 1-0 as we speak.
