I think a worse decision was when Houllier replaced Hamann with Smicer in the Uefa cup quarter final against a Leverkusen side needing 2 goals to go through - which they then got.

What energy will have been saved in that 7 minutes though? **** all. ok you could argue it may have prevented a possible injury occurring, but Rafa certainly can't read the future anymore than he knows how to break down a stubborn defence.Originally posted by Helios Creed View Postnobody seems to have mentioned that the upcoming Chelsea game may have influenced Rafa when he took Gerrard off?Always borrow money from a pessimist. Rafa only plays for 1 nil wins..Nothing more than that...Time for him for to go.
Agree 100% with the article...Sadly, we have to wait for another chance at the title..Title winning teams go out and destroy teams, we can't do that. If we draw with Chelsea, its all over.
If Man U win game in hand, they will be 5 points ahead. Can't see them losing that lead, hope they do. But Fergie has experience in this run ins to the end of the season and i'm afraid they are in a very very strong position

Weird decision but the worst decision ever made? Come on wise up lol, taking of a shattered midfielder for a forward when chasing a game is normally the right thing to do. I call it a weird one as it was Gerrard that came off, but not something I would really ever have thought about too much. Some people just seem to go into every decision far to much.

These silly little changes have won us more points than dropped since Rafa has took charge. There was an article not that long ago pointing out that Rafa's subs changed the game in our favour more than any other manager in the Premiership.Originally posted by Havors View PostIts just such a shame that he is too stuborn to change these stupid decisions he makes. It will end up costing him his job. If only he would not make these silly changes i seriously think we would be points clear at the top and on for the title!
Of course when his subs work no one mentions them but when we drop points they always get blamed.

Happens the other way round. Taking Gerrard off in a derby game and then winning was hailed as genius. The explanation that he was trying too hard would have been a comical quote if we hadn't.Originally posted by Woobus View PostWeird decision but the worst decision ever made? From memory I lot of the fans were still giving him grief about that one and how lucky he was that it paid off. I really cant remember to many papers or fans calling him a genius and it was mostly fans trying to defend his decision.Originally posted by Operation View PostHappens the other way round.
