Seeing as we're two points off the leaders come February, he's doing a ****ing great job.

The last decade we haven't been in a title race, and it's down to the manager taking us forward, so yeah, slate away.

I'm amazed, and pleasantly surprised, i avoided this place after the Wigan game as i thought it would be like Suicide City, great to see so many supporters hitting back against the doom and negativity.

Well, it is chuffin daft, it ain't like we're 2 points adrift at the bottom is it?

Just sick and tired of the negativity around here and other forums over the last few weeks.

People seem to have lost their bolloxs recently and not up for a title challenge.
They seem to forget about who's responsible for us being at the top, in a title race.

Just too fooking daft to comprehend.

Good article. Yes, I am angry at the moment and some of it is, for the first time, directed at Rafa, but he has done great things for this club and I want #19 to happen with Rafa in charge.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

2 points and a macth in hand for utd. The people who appear to have lost their balls are the players on the basis of recent performances.

Yup, the players have to man up, and I'm not really expecting manure to go for the rest of the seaseon unbeaten, but to talk about replacing the manager now................

I really didn't enjoy that article.

I feel particularly strongly that this part is a nonsensical excuse making...

In other words, Ferguson needed Liverpool to fail. He didn’t knock us of our “****ing perch”; we fell, in large part down to a horrible tragedy....
Like it or not Sir Alex Ferguson is a living legend. What he has achieved with Aberdeen and Utd is worthy of the highest praise and recognition. Even had we fell of our own accord it left the road open to anyone. Only Sir Alex has managed to play attractive and trophy winning football consistently.

Yeah and 5 years into his reign there were plenty of Utd fans clamouring for his head just like some of the imbeciles on here.

Grow up. A month ago we were all happy as pigs in ****. Rafa has not become a bad manager in the space of 4 weeks. Best fans in the world. What a ****ing joke.

You know what mate, I feel particularly strongly that those comments of yours shouldnt come out of a Liverpool supporters mouth.

The man is a bitter, twisted auld k##b, and I could use stronger words. I dont know any LFc fan who thinks he is a and I quote you; 'living legend' and frankly I dont think that those sentiments are welcome here, my opinion of course.

His poor record in Europe over the last 20 years and countless failures against poor European opposition despite being the manager of the self proclaimed largest and richest club in the world means in my opinion, he has failed in areas.

Dont forget the bottomless pit of money he has had, dont forget the cack players he has brought in and dont forget that when we fell from grace, their success at that time gave them a perfect place to get the SKY generation on board, hope you know what that means, and they grew and grew at a perfect time.

any football fan, lfc fan or not, should agree that sir alex ferguson is a legend of a manger. he has won countless trophies, bought some amazing players and brought along the best bunch of young players ever in giggs, scholes, beckham etc..

the man is a cunt though. a grade A ****. but his accomplishments on a football level are astounding.

I actually think the criticism of Fergie's record in Europe is unfair. He won the CL at a time when the PL was a footballing backwater comparatively. At best two sides - United and Arsenal - were on the level of the better continental leagues and most of the other teams were poor comparatively. It is not a dissimilar achievement to Mourinho's at Porto.

Now the PL is a strong league it is notable that the CL is dominated by English teams. They are regularly tested and it makes them better that opponents who comparatively are not.

Back to the topic in hand. The problem with Tompkins is that he is always supportive of everything Rafa does - very rarely does he give a balanced argument. I know he feels he is fighting a tide of negative articles and reports but the way to change things is to write better articles that point out the positives that counter act the things that are less good rather than spout propaganda which will change no ones views.

He is a rancid old ****e!! He would have been sacked if it hadnt of been for us taking a dip in form. He was very lucky to get all the kids coming through, something which no other manager has had the luxury off and then to be winning at the start of the premiership.

What Ferguson has achieved as a football manager, both at Aberdeen and in England, is outstanding. The manner in which he has achieved it should irreparably tarnish any claims to legend status. Much of his team reflects the manager, and for that they are widely hated.

Paul is losing the plot totally. To think he used to be such a good and objective writer on Houllier.
