Sure, but as ridiculous as it may sound it seems to me that the team could do with some motivating.

show them a video of united lifting the prem league year after year after year.

that would make me physically sick because i love the club, some of these players dont have the passion needed not to mention the ability.

its too late for this year now anyways imo.

So in order to help motivate players who may not have the belief that they are good enough to challenge with Utd, you suggest showig them videos of just how many titles Utd have won and reinforce just how good they are. Ok, Mr Motivator.

Tell them if they want to prevent that then they should do this.......then show them clips of what the team can do including outplaying chavski, arse and manure.

1 thing I do know is the messages should all be positive as the brain does not process a negative instruction well. (think of telling kids not to do something!).

Having Rafa in the stands and Sammy on the touchline seemed to motivate the team for a period? No?

Give Rafa a new contract but insert a clause giving Sammy Lee full control over substitutions...

Pick a defence to settle down and keep things simple, when we start to be too clever things get out of hand.
I think basically you are right. I'd like to see us also look to make obviously attacking substitutes too - I don't think it is always the right idea but when you are low on confidence signs that the manager has faith in our attacking abilities might be the way to go.

In the end I think that all we need is for a game to go our way. We haven't been too far off in a number of games but the little things have let us down and the accumulation of small errors has eroded confidence. In some ways there is no better game than Chelsea to have now as no one needs motivation and a good result would be a huge boost.

The answer to our problems is quite simple really, well IMO anyway.

We just need our better players, i.e. Torres, Alonso, Mascher, Riera and Kuyt (yes he was good in the first half of the season ok!!) to find their form again. They need to improve, simple as. When they play well we will get the right results.
