Sami left out of the champions league squad again !!!
I think Rafa's main problem has been that his team have not performed since going top. I wouldn't agree with all his teams and subs, some have been down right daft IMO, but playing the likes of Lucas against Wigan should not be the reason we draw the game.
The team as a whole seems to lack guile and composure. And yet the likes of Keane, Babel, Benayoun and others all showed at their previous clus (and on international duty) that they have the capability to unlock even the tightest defences.
Many of our players are captains or strong personalities for the country they play for and should be able to handle the pressure. I'm at a loss for why we have crumbled.
i think fergie was right in that we dont have the know how to win league championships but have plenty of savvy in the champions league and other cup competitions.
When things are going wrong, you should try and go back to basics and do the simple things. Just play your best team and the play the best players in their best positions.
Its almost like rafa wants the world to believe that he's some kind of tactical genius when he makes tactical changes like playing lucas as wigan and taking gerrard off for keane.
Only this time the changes didnt work and now he's under serious pressure and what he's done is heap that pressure onto the team and now everyone is saying we have bottled it.
The fact of the matter is that off field politics have probably contributed to rafa going into stubborn mode and the owners and the parry havent helped matters.

All true, but if we beat Chelsea and then Everton we'll all feel better and everyone will write it off as "Dark January" and that we had come through our bad spell pretty much unscathed.
Remember, if the Mancs lose to Everton at home or West Ham away, and we win our two games we'll be back at the top of the table for a while.

SAMI HYYPIA’S Anfield future could be called into question after the defender was again left out of Liverpool’s Champions League squad.
The Finland international was not part of the 25-man pool for the group stages with UEFA rules limiting the number of foreign players. And Hyypia, a regular starter in the Premier League in recent months, has again been overlooked for the knockout stages with centre-backs Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger and Jamie Carragher already at Rafael Benitez’s disposal.
Asked if Hyypia would be in the Champions League squad, Benitez said yesterday: “I don’t think so. It will be difficult.
“We cannot change too much. We don’t have too many options. We need a right full-back just in case. I have told him. It was very positive. He is a good professional and he understands. I want him to stay.”
When does the squad list/changes to squad list have to be submitted by?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
