No. Barack Obama and myself have also not been seen in the same room
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Rafa has his faults, and although I rate him highly, i'll always be the first to point them out as quickly as I will be there to praise him when he gets things right. But it has to be said that although there are a few valid points in that article, it's very very clear that he has an agenda against Rafa. It was in credibly biased against him. He's just feeding off and exaggerating fans' paranoia and negativity towards Rafa.

Is that article from the NOTW ?

I hadn't realized their readers recognized four syllable words.

Sadly there appears to be far more stories slating Rafa appearing in the print media now and far more fans agreeing with them.

I read more such drivel in Irelands "Sunday World" rag today too.

He still has my support although I do find it hard to understand his treatment of Keane and some of his decisions of late, but IMO he is certainly starting to lose a sizeable section of our support which can only be a bad thing. My own view would be along the lines of Brian Reade's excellent article yesterday.

I agree. TalkSport is a piss take. Ever since the Wigan game they have been having a field day.

Yes but your views are worthless as you are clearly a WUM and not a Liverpool fan

WHEN Rafa Benitez’s name was first put to the Liverpool board in October 2003, one director objected.

“He looks a bit like a Spanish Gerard Houllier to me,” said the cautionary voice.

Bascombe used to be a decent journalist, but these days he is Parrys bitch, in much the way Blair was for Bush.

Bascombe must be praying Rafa fails, as Parry is his only source at Anfield these days, with the information he has supplied getting the scoops which got him his job at the NOTW.

You may as well read whatever Bascombe says as though it is coming straight from Krusty, along with all the ineptitude and political conniving that comes with it.

Great insight into what makes Bascombe tick where Rafa is concerned, if that's true and Parry is his only decent source then he owes Parry a lot for how his career has progressed, and Parry still has a huge influence as to how Bascombe's career continues.

We resemble nothing of the team that struggled badly to finish fourth in a less competitive league; where aimless punts down the field and hoping Owen would feed of the scraps were our only attacking option. When going done meant we were beat because we were unable to claw back any deficit. When players were secure from being dropped and wielded far too much influence in the dressing room, our reserves full of overpaid foreign mercenaries happy to collect their fat wages. You couldn't even dream of ever reaching the European cup final not dare contest a title challenge.

No one is infallible; however, we are still in with our best shot at the title in nearly two decades, a position Houllier was nowhere near, even during his halcyon days. A win today again would put us clear as the main challenger. One defeat all season long with no defeats at home in over a year, having beaten the both Chelsea and United already this season, still in the European Cup and FA Cup; yet a mere hint of trouble, 'the greatest fans in the world' want the head of person who allowed them to dream of the title for the first time since Dalglish served up on a plate.

I despair, I truly do, no wonder the atmosphere at Anfield is so poor these days, I think the true 'supporters' have been priced out and been replaced success craving bandwagon jumpers.

For all who believe the sky is falling down, try getting out a DVD of the glory days of early 90’s or indeed revisit Houllier’s end of days and compare and contrast.
