What is the weather like on Merseyside? And the forecast?
"With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Beeb forecasts dry, light to moderate winds, 1 to 2 degrees.

Anyone else a little underwhelmed about this one tonight????

There doesnt seem to be the same buzz in the office as there was about the other 2 games.

                  - aye, it's what i was tryin to say in my post above - i just don't have the same nerves or buzz of excitment about this one. Obv i reckon that will change once i get the pub and the atmosphere hopefully livens up, but usually derby day, it's a big ****ing thing. this one, providing we don't get any key players injured, or we don't get truned over like 3-0 meaning everton go delirious and release a dvd about it, well i am not really arsed at the moment. - My main concern is coming out of it with some pride and no injuries.

Some papers speculating we will rest Torres down here.

i wouldn't be too upset if we did - play babel up top, give a kick up the arse and tell him that he now has a chance to prove he is good enough for us, it's not too much of a high pressure must win league game, and if he works hard and pulls his finger out he has 90 mins to show what he is capable off

if he can't get motivated or doesn't take his chance well tough **** sugar tits.

Torres shouldn't start IMHO. Time to give Babel a go up front. Also tempted to bring Agger back for this one.

The Bitters have been doing enough crowing after a couple of draws so I dread to think what they'd be like if they actually win against us.

We need to send out a full strength team for this one in my opinion. Torres should start. Those goals against Chelsea will have given him huge confidence and I can see him tearing the Bitters a new arsehole like he did in the league game at Goodison this season.

I have a feeling that we're going to thump them tonight.

                          Fingers crossed.

If he plays every club footed bluenose will be out to get him, knowing he is our only striker for the rest of the season.

Stick Babel in there for a game. I think with his pace and shooting, he'll offer enough for us to beat them anyway.

Our best line up should be out against Everton everytime we play them. It would be ridiculous to lose momentum anyway after the win against Chelsea. Everton are in fine form and are proving difficult to break down. All our key players should start tonight, such as Reina, Carra, Gerrard and Torres. A few changes in other departments would be fine.

We need to strike whilst the irons hot. The Champions League is very difficult to win, whilst United are the favourites in the league. Why sacrifice our chance of winning a trophy?

Torres would get that treatment if we had 50 strikers. He's the best in the world so I would expect it.
