Radio City/CityTalk presenter and Anfield "pitchside" PA Phil Easton has died tonight.

Whilst George Sephton does most of the stuff, Phil Easton has done the pitchside stuff for the last few years.

Used to do my homework to that most nights, back when I thought Ian Gillan was some kind of hairy prophet. He always seemed a decent bloke and had a real passion for the music he pushed (even if much of it, in retrospect, was a bit ropey). I'm genuinely a bit upset to hear this.
