I do think we have possibly had too high a squad turnover but we have been revoltionising a team and trying to do so on a budget so to some degree high turnover is inevitable.
When Rafa joined he said that not only did he have to rebuild the first team but he had to make the reserves more competitive and improve the quality of the youth team. I can remember when he signed Ramon Castille (sp?) after he was released from United, Rafa said that he was only there to add competition to the reserves and he wouldn’t play first team football.

I’m sure there were a few more similar type signings.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Ramon Calliste!! ****ing hell. Last I heard he'd gone to Scunthorpe, got injured, then released, and ended up at some Welsh league/pub side.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The only reason I probably remember him is because some idiot in my work was calling for him to start when we went a few games struggling to score.

In response to a ****wit scum supporter posting about some of Rafa's
transfer signings I thought I'd do the same for the tramp.

Viv Anderson - He became Alex Ferguson's first signing since taking over as
manager of Manchester United and managed a paltry 3 goals and left after 3
years to move on a free to Sheff Weds.

That's a bit harsh - he was a right back!

Did Ferguson sign Davenport? He was a bit of a flop IIRC
          Really?

The author of this list has forgotten that half of those, who left, were homesick (Nunez, Josemi, Kronkamp, Barragan) and that there are several good stories abt. how Rafa made lots of money from transfers - like Sissoko, Garcia - and even the french gems - leTallec and Pongolle.

By the way - it will be funny to see how the Arsenal strikeforce now will develop with both Eduardo and Arshavin up front - some of the younger players will have to bench it for some time....
