It definitely makes sense however since Gerrard has come off, that would be Alonso's territory. I would have Lucas in there.

Half time thoughts - we need to have a sustained amount of possession and really take the game to Everton. I credit the players for showing some passion but we need to really test Howard now. Benayoun's contribution has been minimal, Riera hasn't done much especially when cutting in. Our main threat has come from Dossena's crosses which have been hit and miss. If a sub is to be made, Babel for Riera on the left, Hibbert is constantly leaving pace behind. Torres should also realise this and try and stretch the Everton back line and moving on that side allowing either Kuyt, Benayoun and Lucas to try and expose those areas in the box.
