In the end we lost to a double-deflection shot off the post in the last 2 minutes. **** it, not worried in the slightest
What I am worried about is Gerrard's fitness levels and possibly other teams replicating the same tactics to some of our players like Alonso.

Before the red card we looked more likely to score.

Yea,a £20m striker who couldn't score,or pass or hold the ball up.That the one you mean?

We were the better team before the sending off, definitely.

I thought we did. Riera's chance, and we had the better of the play around that time.

We looked the team more likely to do something. Everton, besides hitting the post, didn't look like scoring at all. Not even in extra time until of course they scored.

Im glad we are out and lets face it Villa will do what we did not and knock those ****ers out in the next round! We lost in the last 2 minutes of extra time from a deflected shot off the post. It happens and i would rather lose to those tramps in the cup than the league

All tonight proved is that we are seriously lacking in goalscorers
Goalscorers that would take the hardly any chances we create?

Not too fussed about the cup, but tonight was a chance to get confidence sky high and hopefully go on a winning run to boost our title bid.

Sadly we were ****e and Rafa, as per usual, doesnt bother going for the win until we're losing.

Look MORE likely to score anyway, we certainly had the better of it. Before the sending off we had miles more possession and they were defending, which was reversed AFTER the sending off

But to many would rather just abuse our players like Geordie fans. Small time.

Happy that we've lost to our local rivals in the greatest cup competition of all?

Back him to score at the weekend and us to get a scoreless draw
