Don't get on their backs... Anyone has the right to express their opinion....Originally posted by Shanks007 View PostJoe King/Ben Tover.
Get behind the team and stop posting your negative ****e.
Games like this can make you look a bit of an arse.

Besides, I love reading the match threads 12 hours later, it's funnier than Peter Kay

**** knows, as he's back at Spurs maybe its a Robbie Keane thing, but he was pretty much foaming at the mouth. It was hilarious when he said "Man Utd are great, they dont rely on 3 players to win the league like Liverpool are doing, Liverpool are Alonso, Gerrard and Torres, Man Utd have Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo......." Err so thats 3 players aswell then Tim!Originally posted by Robster007 View PostWhat actually is his problem with us?
He seems unable to disguise what seems to be utter contempt for us.
Im all for everyone having an opinion but his patronising "I know better than Rafa" stuff was pathetic, who the **** is he? A coach at one of the ****test teams in the league but talks like he's leading Barcelona's formidable season.

That's the thing but. He's not scared to experiment to drag the squad out for the entire season.Originally posted by -V- View PostOn one hand im overjoyed that we won and are top of the league atleast for the night but on the other hand i am seriously questioning Rafa Benitez
Sometimes it works and he looks genius.
Sometimes it fails and he looks incompetent.
Both are the same style of decision so should be judged the same, it's just a necessary experimentation to get the most out of the squad.
Last week the mancs were all drooling. "mark of champions winning that"
Well ****ing take this you scummy manc ****s, we aint giving up yet!

Rob McCaffrey on Showtime said exactly that after the game, that its almost as if our name is on it, the last minute goals in games that look lost, and getting a result from a game that we had 4 full backs in the first 11 etc.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostAbsolutely unbelievable. It's games like this - and **** we've had more than our fair share this season - that make you wonder if our name is somehow on the trophy. Unlikely I know but if anyone else kept doing it the way we do it'd be 'the hallmark of champions'.
Must start playing better though, and sharpish.
Berbatov in the last minute against Bolton the other week was exactly that 'hallmark of champions' - from what i heard last night Rafa is the luckiest manager in the history of the game!If you've lost your faith in love and music the end won't be long

Hello Ben, ya div!Originally posted by Joe King View PostHello ladies
You really do set your self up for some stick mate!
In responce to your post in the match thread, yes my sig is still on and it will remain until one of us concedes that the other was right. I will give you your dues though, Villa are lasting the course better than I expected. The key will be there forthcoming games back to back against Chelsea then us.
We'll see what they're made of then.
Regarding todays game I can't help but think back to the signing of Keane, so sad to see he was not what we required. We needed either a player in the mould of Torres or a target man. What is annoying is we had the chance to sign an international class target man in Heskey for buttons this Jan, he would have been ideal today for instances and is more than capable of playing up top on his own.
If we fail to win the title I may look back on the lack of him signing as a missed opportunity. I know he would be no ones first choice (including me) but for £3.5m we'd have had a player capable of competing in Europe and on the domestic scene who could have done a job in the absence of Torres, as well as providing a different option late on.
Again, not a player you'd want, nor a player you'd pay money for in the summer. But for a mid season boost he'd have been spot on.
Tim Sherwood was right. We do need to wrap Torres in cotton wool!Forwards.......

Actually I do... but today read it about 6 hours after the game, when my heart had slowed down to a mere twice the speed it should be beating at.Originally posted by Shanks007 View PostYou obviously don't read all the threads.

I can't believe how many of our 'fans' had us written off after the first and second Pompey goals, and how often they have to eat their words. I'm sure some of these people left at halftime in Istanbul to find an internet cafe to post how bad Rafa's team were.

Some guys were mentioning Aurelio in midfield earlier this week - is Rafa an Est member?!?I can confirm that i am not rafa!Originally posted by chadrtc View PostAm i right in saying that Alonso and Lucas are both suspended for the Pompey game? If so that leaves us woefully short in the centre of the park. Personally i'd give Jay Spearing a chance, failing that it would be tempting to play Aurelio in there!

Ah, but the real Rafa would say that, so therefore by only a mild jump of logic, you are RafaOriginally posted by chadrtc View PostI can confirm that i am not rafa!
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
