If we buy Villa, the transfer fee will be of the order of 30 million. A whole new set of players becomes available at that price mate.
A whole set of lesser quality players.

Personally I think signing Villa would lessen the impact of Torres, but improve us as a whole. Ideally I'd go for Augero, I reckon he'd compliment Torres perfectly.

Of course that would revert Gerrard to CM and just overload us in that department again. For RM Frank Ribery would be a dream, but Antonio Valencia would also be ideal.

If I could make two signings in the summer it would be to sign Augero and Valencia. We would have goals all through out the side then. We'd be on another level.
    Forwards.......

If we didn't have Torres then maybe, yes we need Villa. (but we don't)

Let's start looking at the World Class others.

      Wingers, Midfielders etc.

Gerrard ain't gonna be around forever.
Hence the signing of youth players. As the Agger situation shows, signing a top class CM would just upset another first teamer we have, because there'd be no place in the side for them.

David Villa paired with Torres would Scare the **** out of any club team.

There was a rumour recently that Rafa had agreed a deal with Valencia for Villa before the euro championships last summer for a fee, only for Parry to go and make a mess of it by trying to bring the price down and insulting Valencia with a ridiculas offer.Hence the reason for Rafa's stance on his contract negotiations.

Probably bollocks but food for thought though!

We have the reserves AND the under 18's.

Who is replacing Stevie there then?

              How do I know?

It's impossible to say who will come through in about 3-4 years time. Start worrying in 4 years if no one has come through, and then we could sign a top quality replacement if none are available.

              No need yet though.

In his current position I would say Dani Pacheco is coming along nicely in the reserves, and Adam Pepper and Tom Ince also look to have great potential. Then there's Lucas and Jay Spearing.

But like I said it's impossible to say. Last year people had already assumed that we were sorted in the CB position for the next ten years. As it now turns out we could see Sami move on in the summer as well as Daniel Agger whose getting cold feet (though I think he'll stay).

We would therefore be looking for a new centre back in the summer!

I was only putting my opinion across and that is that I believe he is overrated. In saying that, I didn't think much of Torres before he signed for us and look at what he done so I could be wrong.

As for personal grooming, I am actually very hygienic thank you very much hence why I put the post about having stinky nads in the first place. I didn't say I had stinky balls, I said I used talc on the lower regions to stop from getting stinky balls.
