If Fulham play like they did on Saturday then United coul pull severly away on goal difference.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

If they play like they have most of the time in the PL then it will be a tight match.

With a strong possibility of Mascherano and Lucas in the middle, we’re gonna need as much support for the attack as possible from other positions. Although Carra and Arbeloa will get forward at times they are not gonna have the same quality in attacking positions as Aurelio/Dossena and Arbeloa at RB (I know he got his first goal from LB). If as someone suggested Aurelio is rested, then I definitely would risk Dossena.

As for worrying about Robinho, he’s been anonymous away from home all season, I can’t see him suddenly turning things around on a cold February afternoon at Anfield.
Yes i am - i think Arbeloa is a better, more experienced fullback that Insua, who has had about 5 good appearances in the first team.

As for the 'with Mascherano and Lucas in the middle' bit, i already said i'd have Mascherano and Aurelio in there, not Lucas.

I wasnt 'worrying' about Robinho, i just happen to think that the Spanish international established fullback is a better option generally, than the barely tested kid who's just come back from South America.

It may be a tight match, but you just know ManU will nick it 1-0

That's fair enough, but I'd say Insua is better at attacking down the left (purely because he's left footed), and I can't see how Carra at RB contributes to our strongest team.

That was just a general point in response to a lot of peoples predicted teams.

Again, wasn't referring directly to you but in response to a few people who highlighted the threat of Robinho.

To be honest mate, whilst i'm not sure just how much footie Insua played in that under 20s competition, i dont think rafa will just put him straight back into the first team.

For what it's worth, i think Dossena will start against City.

The reason i'd play Carra at RB is because Agger needs to be starting games, in order to get him signed up to a new deal.

That's pretty much what I fear, but I live in hope that they have to **** up at some point.

Both Blackburn and Fulham lack the threat needed to score at Old Trafford. United will win both games

Surely at some point Santa Cruz has to hit form (and John Terry says that Jason Roberts is the hardest forward in the league to mark). [Oh yes, those straws are being clutched very tightly]

Im hoping they **** up, hopefully it will be over the next two matches. If they only get 4 points il be over the moon.

They have won 8 consecutive Premiership games, surely this must be some kind of a record?

think the record is about 11 or 12?

I agree, I don't see Insua playing at all. I think if we're back to our normal formation, then Aurelio will slot back, but if he does play midfield like you suggest then I'd imagine it would be Dossena.

That's fair enough about Carra, but personally I'd still like to see him in the centre alongside Agger. It's a tough one to call for Agger, would he be happier starting against City or Madrid? I can't see him or Skrtel starting both.

Iv just google'd it and the record is 13 consecutive wins by Arsenal at the end of the 01/02 season.

Why is it that whenever we are in with a shout of winning the league our rivals (Arsenal in 01/02 and ManU this season) go on some sort of a record breaking run!?

In terms of the team, i'd go for:

                                Reina
                                Carragher Agger Skrtel Arbeloa
                                Mascherano Aurelio
                                Kuyt Benayoun Riera
                                Torres

Why is Alonso suspended? He's not been sent off. Is it for 5 yellows and therefore just a one game ban?

We should be looking to smash City.
That will do me too !

The only contensious point will be Carra at RB or CB ?

Fab deserves another crack in midfield after his blinder against pompey
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
