    What's he on about now?

    Link to Daily Mirror Article

    Specifically:

"In my five years, I've paid less in transfer fees than I've received, even though I spent £40m on Fernando Torres and Robbie Keane. It's as simple as that."

Now I'm all for him taking on Ferguson in the media but.... that can't be right? Surely!!??

He said that a week or so ago, so it wasn't last night.

I've read it in a few places and this is the first time the bit about receiving more than what's been spent has been in the quotes at all.

If he did say that then it's completely wrong although he probably didn't say that

Yes I was about to say that also. I think the ****er's tried to put a spin or two on that and he basically 'made up' that bit. That's a serious case of a breach of ethics as a journalist. Rafa can really lay into him and sue him for that.

And it doesn't make any sense at all. He probably was sitting on his head when he reported that, and took it all through his arse.

Can't remember where I read it mate and everywhere I look now has the exact same quotes as the mirror article. Ah well maybe I didn't read it properly.

United get a revenue of 65 mil euros more than us every year and they have the capability of buying three 20 million players every season. Chelsea will have spent £500 million over the past five years. We have built an entire team but economically we’re inferior and yet we are able to compete with them. There are plenty of stats to bore you with: United, only on Berbatov, spent £32m; every year they spend as they need to: £20m on Hargreaves, another £20m on Nani, £18m for Anderson. Seven years ago they spent £45m for Ferdinand! I, on the five years I’ve been here, spent less than £40m on Torres and Keane. There’s no discussion!

Maybe it was that we read in here mate. http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=58589

Maybe if you count the wages and/or signing on fee.

The article quotes it as pounds though. And if he's talking in euros, then it makes all the other amounts for the other players completely wrong.

Scum have really flourished under glazier, i know they are about 800million in debt and some fans hate him, cant understand why? Scum has bought every player he has wanted since glazier has come in.
