Where I live we normally inform the players first, but during the last few months (due to the finance crisis and all) there has been an incredible influx of players being offered around, usually players on high wages that the clubs want rid of.

Every day is maybe an exaggeration, but it's most definitely common practice.

We're 3rd and just beat Real at the Bernabau, Everton are 6th and got beat by Standard Liege.

Where did he say it was all down to his injury? Think he was asked a direct question whether it has had an impact on our season. What was he supposed to answer? No?

With the Torres of last season we would still be top. I don't think anyone would argue otherwise. So I can see where Rafa is coming from.

But the point must stand that he has been for 4-5 years so he should have been wise to the fact of having enough quality up front.

I can think of a few strikers we've let go who I would rather have now - Baros, Bellamy, Cisse, Crouch. But there you go. How may wanted to stay? They'd not be in my first XI, but a squad wins leagues now days. And we have major holes.

everton have improved quite a bit since that and this with all their injury problems!!!all im saying is stop ****ing moaning and making excuses and just ****ing deal with.its such a negative way toget around things. so what happens if torres has played his last game for us this season...do we just throw it in?its like suggesting we aint gonna win just bcus of one player.rafa should start acting like a manager instead of trying to be a soap opera star

I think he prob needs a break, the summer will do him good imo, he hasnt had much of a break since the euros.

I wouldn't hold your breath,He won't get a proper summer break till 2011 if Spain qualify for the world cup.They play in the confederations cup this summer.
