Probably will. Benitez's fantastic scouting system - play good against us and I shall sign you.

I also forgot to add Kuyt onto that list.Originally posted by wiw View Postlol, so which 2 wingers and striker would you have signed, with the same budget, that would have fired us to the title?
Benitez spent £23m on a slow striker, a temperamental striker and a rubbish winger. Again, proving Benitez spends far too much on average players compared to Fergie who spent £18m on Carrick who, since has been at the club, has won two titles and looks to be winning his third consecutively.
Fired us to the title? I never implied that at all. I was merely saying, that was the season where we should have started to challenge. Instead, he prioritised on the Champions League again.

He'd have saved all the money up that Rafa's spent and spunked the lot on Aguero and Kaka last summer. We'd also have finished mid table every year, not qualified for the CL and would have had to sell Gerrard but it's all in the Tover masterplan.Originally posted by wiw View Postlol, so which 2 wingers and striker would you have signed, with the same budget, that would have fired us to the title?

lol, so which 2 wingers and striker would you have signed, with the same budget, that would have fired us to the title?Originally posted by Joe King View PostPersonally, the season I felt Benitez needed to give us the step up into title contention was his third season. We had a good side who had just won the FA Cup and Benitez decides to sign Pennant, Gonzalez and Bellamy. Three players who aren't with the club anymore and more importantly, haven't gone to any good sides to prove their mettle.
Benitez's short term transfer policy has really screwed us over for the future. He feels players who he can make a quick buck from and might be a quick fix will solve and stablise the team financially when all he is doing is increasing staff turnover therefore unsettling the balance and possibly the morale of the side.

Midfielders who can score goals
Wingers who can beat people and cross a ball.
Solid full backs who can do the same, and stay fit
Most of all though we need a player apart from Gerrard who can just conjure something out of nothing. Our best XI at the moment is sorely lacking in surprise factor, and we have too many nominally "creative" players like Riera, Babel, Kuyt and Benayoun who all have attributes, and are not the worst I've ever seen for lfc, but none of whom really have enough in the locker either. All the strikers in the world will do us no good at all until we can put some real spark back into the midfield areas...
Some sort of big signing (obv the more the better) is needed just to give everyone a boost and a bit of hope. The team's gone a bit stale

Strikers x 2
RM x 1
Creative attacking MF x 1 maybe 2 (preferably one who can move out wide if required)

This is a good quote. Its time we got past this division amongst our fanbase, and people realised that whether they want Rafa to stay or go, whether they are generally "negative" or "positive", everyone holds their opinion because they want Liverpool to succeed, and that's all that really matters. The rest is just specifics.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI dont have an anti Rafa stance, i have a pro LFC stance.
