Happiest person at Anfield tonight was Joe King. He had won a place there as one of the mascots after his father had entered a competition and won it! Strange moment though, as he was shaking Rafa's hand it seemed like he tried to head-butt him and kick him in his shin at the same time.

Strangest moment tonight was when Martin Skrtel took out 8 Sunderland players in one tackle. They all had to leave the field, so the match had to be stopped. I didn't see the incident, said Liverpool manager Benitez after the match.

Yet again, some of the long range crossfield passing from Kuyt was superb.
