    Aceptance.............

I have now accepted we will not win the league. Actually that's a lie. I just see it as highly unlikely.

But let's not get embarrassed. Let's keep going for it and fight all the way. Too often have our team sacked of the league and concentrated on the CL. Fair enough, we're in the business of winning trophies. But now the pressure is off. No one is expecting a miracle. We could go on all day how all is not lost and that anything is possible, but lets all be realistic.

All I want now is to push Man Utd as far as possible. Let's make them WIN the league, not gift it to them. On our day we ARE up there with the best teams in Europe. So lets show this and go down fighting.

I do not want to end up at the end of the season ten points plus behind the Mancs. Lets go for it and get the experience required for a proper challenge next season. I've not seen any modern day side jump from also rans to title winners. The first time a team wins it has always been on the back of a concerted challenge the year before. We will have learnt a hell of a lot this year, and that includes the players, staff and Rafa.

Come the summer I am hopefull that all remaining issues that provide a black cloud over the club will be finished, for better or for worse. From there we can look forward and take on the rest head on.

This year there have been to many reasons that have enabled every man jack to make excuses. Let us pray I'm not singing off the same hymn sheet next year.
    Forwards.......

        Good post mate.

I never ever accept that we've lost the league. Even when it's mathamatically impossible I hope for a points deduction and I'm still waiting for a Juventus style fall from grace so we can receive our winners medals from 2001-2002. It will happen.

I've been a Liverpool fan for too long to just give it up, but in the cold light of day I can always be honest with myself. I spoke to a scouse mate of mine the other day at work and said "So you reckon it's all over then?" His reply was simple and straight to the point "I know how you feel pal. But I've accepted defeat on many occasions, one being the time when I was high up in the stands in the attaturk, and if it's one thing history has teached me, it that's Liverpool don't know when they are dead and buried".

This is what I needed to hear and is what we all pin our hopes too. It's like a striker scoring that fist goal after a drought. It's not a spectacular bicycle kick, it's a deflection. It's not an easy win or a walk in the park. It's a season where there are many twists and turns. It's something where you have to make a mess off, before you're ready to pick yourself up and go again.

Life is not easy and as the saying goes you learn from your mistakes. This year we have made many mistakes. And I am relying on our club to have enough about them to learn from them.

But maybe it will now have to be next year.
